Smith’s suspicions are raised by the fact that Gawker’s John Cook emailed then-deputy White House press secretary Josh Earnest, now White House press secretary, about the issue of Clinton’s private email account back in 2013—two years ago! Yet on Saturday, President Barack Obama told CBS News’ Bill Plante in an interview that he learned about Mrs. Clinton’s private email system at “The same time everybody else learned it through news reports,” much like he claims to have learned about so many others of his scandals.


And while some in the media may have tacitly admitted that there is already blood in the proverbial water, and that Clinton may see greater challenges coming from other candidates, the narrative persists that the Select Committee on Benghazi was established simply to damage Mrs. Clinton. So the villain in this growing scandal, for Clinton acolytes, is not Clinton herself. It is, instead, the Select Committee on Benghazi, which apparently had known about her multiple private email accounts since at least last summer, according to National Review’s Andy McCarthy. “The panel’s Republican House members are seizing on the revelations regarding Clinton’s private e-mail domain to expand their committee’s mandate, delay Clinton’s testimony and extend their investigation indefinitely,” write Josh Rogin and Eli Lake for Bloomberg. Similarly, Tomasky writes that “… it smells like the Times may have been rolled by the Republican staff of the Benghazi panel. And hey, great work by them and Chairman Trey Gowdy to use the nation’s leading liberal newspaper in this way.”

The additional debate about fairness to Mrs. Clinton in The New York Times reporting also ignores the larger, overlooked picture: the Obama administration’s culpability in enabling Mrs. Clinton’s behavior. In cases where Clinton’s email was requested by citizens’ groups and news reporters, “the State Department acknowledged receipt of the [Freedom of Information Act] requests and assigned case numbers but did not produce any of the requested documents,” The New York Times reported. According to the Associated Press, the State Department “never suggested that it didn’t possess all her emails” when the A.P. requested records more than a year ago. So, instead of acting immediately against a supposed violation of policy or law, they sat on it until it was politically expedient to do so. That's your 'Merka-loving GOP for you, all right.
 
The thought occurred to me a while back, but I thought it may have come from a potential D presidential candidate. ( which can't be ruled out ) Very interesting and more damaging to the WH, or politicians in general, than just for Clinton, because it confirms that DC is full of backstabbing and self serving politicians ( I so want to use a different term). Didn't we send them there to serve us?

Did you forget that Josh Earnest Stonewalled Gawker.....that no answer was given from the White House. Now there is BO out answering. Now he has admitted he received emails thinking he can clean up. Now think how that relates to Benghazi and missing emails with a President.

And to think this all could have been avoided if BO and his Team.....never dropped the ball on Benghazi and that Libyan policy. All due to deflection by High ranking Democrats.

Always in the way of Justice when its start turning its blind eye towards them. All over trivializing the Death of a US Ambassador and 4 others. Over nothing but political expediency and BO's aspiration to make a second go around for his Presidency.

Obama has never been one to face a challenge head on, he distracts with new "announcements" like the "amnesty" thingy or, when humiliated in Ukraine, invent a "red line" in Syria.



And he has never been shy about "nuancing" a past false claim as we now hear that Obama was well aware of Goldie's private email account, that it was, ah, that he didn't think it was a big deal.....

The most recent claim apparently didn’t stand up to common sense scrutiny. After all, one needed only to ask if the President and Secretary of State hadn’t exchanged emails for years. On Monday Josh Earnest told the press that President Obama and Secretary Clinton had exchanged emails, that the President had noticed the private address, and that “The point that the President was making is not that he didn’t know Secretary Clinton’s email address… But he was not aware of the details of how that email address and that server had been set up or how Secretary Clinton and her team were planning to comply with the Federal Records Act.” Yeah, that’s the ticket.

and if he "learned" from TV how Hillary would respond then he must be watching a different station than all the rest of us....

I think you guys are missing the point here.

1. Hillary Clinton is a bitch who's management experience has shown her to be inept

2. If I were an Obama staffer I'd probably try to sink her ship too. She was awful during her campaign in 2008, especially with that talk about being "inevitable".

However, her emails on that point were withheld from that investigation. Now, they cry fowl, "right wing conspiracy" and badgering over "old news".

It's not "old news" when it was just learned yesterday. Americans need to know what's in those emails she deliberately withheld from a congressional investigation.....and why?

Heya F&L. :2wave: and some investigations brought us names of Mills, Nuland, Powers, and how they did things to cover for Hillary and trying to protect State from the CIA accusations.

Only Problem was.....Hillary and State knew what the situation was like in Libya and most especially in Benghazi. Months before the Anniversary Date.

Think of the email snapshots the hacker got. No one knew that material about the Muslim Brotherhood being in Libya and attempting to take the country.


Seems Hillary couldn't fool the AP as they want those communications with Morsi's wife.

I would very much like to see the Democratic Party field this name from the past, a woman who has accomplished next to nothing in her public offices, and the oldest presidential candidate ever, who many people suspect has serious neurological problems. And to those disadvantages can be added her chronic, habitual mendacity, including her likely commission of a federal felony in her obvious attempt to hide thousands of e-mails, and what many people have always found to be a less-than-charming personality. You go, girl!

The U.S. had known for a long time that Eastern Libya, especially the area near Dernah, was a hotbed of Muslim jihadists. And that hag knew it too. There was an unarmed drone flying over Dernah looking at their camps on September 11, just as there had been for months before that.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned Huma Abedin, aka Mrs. Anthony Weiner, who had several family members in Egypt that had long been closely connected to the Muslim Brotherhood. That made Huma the hag's go-to girl on Morsi and all things MB. I wonder about their e-mails back and forth. Clinton even broke U.S. terrorism laws to get a couple of these degenerates here for powwows at the State Dept. Among the things they discussed was the "Istanbul protocol"--a fancy term for Clinton's commitment to browbeat Americans--to "educate" them in various ways--about "blasphemy" against Islam. And to hell with our freedom of speech.

That commitment goes a long way toward explaining the decision to cover up this administration's gross dereliction in Benghazi by concocting the lie that the real cause of what had happened was a video that savaged Mohammed. "You see how serious we are about the Istanbul protocol? We had that awful blasphemer Nakoula thrown in jail!" This contempt for the freedom of speech, when the subject is Islam, is completely consistent with B. Hussein Obama's conspicuous absence from the Paris rally to support the Charlie Hebdo victims.

Hillary and Bill and all their Washington affiliates have to have a considerable amount of dirt on this White House.

Can't imagine Hillary and Bill letting this slide without some form of pay back.

I'm sure Hillary is fuming, and is going to heavily criticize Obama during her campaigning (if she campaigns) as a means to distance her from her own previous administration, as everyone is pretty sick and tired of Obama and his crap right now, so she needs this distance.

Whether or not this distancing is going to work, well, that's for the Biased Lame Stream Media to project and seed, into the electorate (just as they did for Obama in both '08 and '12). Question is, if this seed takes root and grows or not.
 
Bill Clinton (probably more to try to clear himself in the Orgy Island scandal) has come out with a statement that his contacts in the media are corroborating the fact that the Obama admin is feeding the press with as much negative media about the Clintons as they can. A narcissistic a$$ like Obama could never allow Bill/Clintons to remain as the face of the demo party, so they must be destroyed.

Watching this is going to be a BLAST!!!!!!

Because the whole Bengazi issue is still tied to Obama as well. Hillary just did his bidding, and by her own words liked the killing of Ghadaffi. "We came, we saw, he died."

Obama just didn't know she wasn't using a government email address as Sec. State until he saw it in the news not long ago. (I guess Valery Jarret forgot to tell him, wink, wink.)

Plausible deniability... What a joke he is. Only liberals believe his horse manure, and Hillary's.
