Wouldn't have been easier to just answer? So, no, it's an excuse.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

What would have been easier for me is if you had bothered to read the topic.
    Still is.

I with I had a free ride. I still pay taxes. Although I am retired, my wife still works. I went to the website and followed the law. Now I am charged what I can afford to pay. Even at that, I had to purchase a Bronze plan because I couldn't afford even the cheapest Silver plan. Therefore, you can still be happy that even though I get assistance, I still cannot afford a better plan.

Face it, you need the excuse.

    You have a free ride!

All plans are "affordable" because those who are getting hit with the 3.8% tax on capital gains, the 7% for not complying, and other taxes that you, yourself, aren't paying on a regular basis are "paying" the difference (in Obama theory).

On top that I am finding your "position" a bit bs. If you are retired, you have pension or on Social Security which entitles you to health insurance 99% of the time.

I will get Medicare in two years. Until then, I have been unable to afford insurance since I retired. I have not been able to work since I was 60. I did not, however, file for disability, so my Medicare will not be available till I am 65.

So this is a failure of yours not to file for disability. Is that okay to say that?

(not being judging, just stating a fact)

Yea, I could have filed for disability years earlier, but I would rather work. I was finally unable to work so I retired early.
