Brilliant post. "The senate and congress". The Senate is part of Congress.

Perhaps you could gain some knowledge and understanding of how Congress, consisting of the US Senate, and the US House of Representatives, plays a role in ratifying any treaties, as the open letter describes.

Letting Iran know an Executive Agreement doesn't amount to much is actually a rather good idea, under the circumstances.

Now that the Senate, an equal party with the House to the ratification of any treaty agreement with Iran, has the temerity to inform Iran's leadership about the machinations of your constitutional republic, the White House and Democrats are apoplectic once again.

The White House and Democrats would not be satisfied unless the President has complete control and the fealty of his subjects, to hell with the form of government that has served your country well for over 200 years.
Does anyone think they do not know that?
What does this add to dicey negotiations. Just reinforces the hardliners in Iran.
We have only heard snippets of the deal.
Seems some want a war, without seeing what the deal is.

then i surmise you as well as the senate now recognize that attempts to rescind the NPT agreement would be DOA, given the opposition position cannot override Obama's veto

I'm glad they are forthright in reminding Americans to vote Republican if you wanna get bogged down in another Middle East war.

What does that have to do with the OP? Also, when an NPT is violated, where does the treaty stand?

What role does the House play exactly? (and it is common usage to refer to the House as the Congress)
If I blow the conch and they don't come back; then we've had it. We shan't keep the fire going. We'll be like animals. We'll never be rescued.

Actually, no role. And it's not common to refer to the House as Congress. Perhaps among those who don't know the difference, but it's not common at all.

    Greetings, ocean515.

Since Iran probably had little intention of keeping their word anyway, perhaps a little worrying about what we're up to might do them some good!

Conversely reminding everyone if you want to see Tel Aviv glassed and the Caliphate on the march, vote Dem.
