Obama says he learned of Clinton using private email through news reports (LOL!)

True, but doesn't Obama occasionally e-mail members of his staff? You'd think this would have been a very big clue. Clinton's email address is clearly not encrypted...

So you know that he emailed her on her private email account?

Obama says he learned of Clinton using private email through news reports | Fox News

“The same time everybody else learned it, through news reports,” Obama told CBS’ Bill Plante, in response to a question of when the president learned of Clinton’s use of a private email account for conducting government business.

OMG! Not this again! The dog ate my homework! What in God's name are we doing with this idiot in office? What a joke.

I believe it, that narcassist is that ignorant and ineffective as a leader.

Tell me how she went about burning her own emails. Yes. Please do.

And she'd have to have burned all the servers that those emails went through too.

IMO... She shouldn't have done it. While she and Bush may weasel out of the letter of the law angle they definitely broke the spirit of the law IMO of the presidential records act of 1978. It was post Nixon era where they were trying to protect communications from being hidden like the lost 18 1/2 minutes of the Nixon tapes which just disappeared.

Is it illegal as all these nutjob ODS conspiracy nuts are saying? No. But it is an ethical lapse IMO.

I don't know. That's why I'm asking you. Members of the cabinet have their government email address. Obama's staff have government email address. You don't think it would have been a bit peculiar that one member isn't using theirs, and no one knew about it?

I didn't read that she WASN'T using it. Just that she did use a private one. The article and nothing I have read stated that she used a private email EXCLUSIVELY.

One can have multiple emails and use multiple emails simultaneously.

Is it possible that Clinton used her personal email for sensitive information? Sure, investigate that.

To blow it out of proportion and make assumptions that she used her private/personal email to email certain people and if certain people deny having knowledge then they must be lying (while the accusation of lying having been made without proof) is a bit of a stretch.

It is very well possible that she never happened to use her private/personal email in correspondence with the president but possibly used it when communicating with other individuals while conducting Secretary of State business.

It is also possible that she DID communicate with the President with it and that he is lying.

However, I don't hate the man so much that I feel the need to make that leap in judgement so that I can accuse him of yet another thing.

In fact, the only people I could imagine doing such a thing are hyper-partisans. Of who I despise. They make it easy to mock their political lean when they act that way.

I don't know where you are getting your information from, but the network that first broke the story reported that Clinton did not set up a State.gov email address during her tenure at the State department. If you're reading anything else, you should probably vet your information.

If that is the case, then she had multiple private emails. Either way, much of her correspondences was done through Clintonemail.com.

You're thinking too much into this. The question is pretty clear. Her email address isn't encrypted. If Clinton used her private email address to exchange emails to members of the Obama administration, wouldn't anyone have found this out by now?

That is not a possibility. There is only one email address that we know about. If there are others, it's not from the state.gov server.

Obama has claimed that he has heard many things from the news. This isn't new. If anything, it puts his alertness and competency into question, but it's not like it matters anymore since he will be gone in a year or so.

This issue lies with Hillary more than Obama. Considering Hillary's private servers are such a security fail, this shows why her candidacy is highly questionable...

Kind of scary that I have the exact same access to this information that the POTUS has. I mean, if you believe what Obama says.

That idiot and liar and chief said the 1965 Selma march was the inspiration for his 1961 contraception and birth. Like the march was a Star of Bethlehem in a time machine.

It's possible Obama also learned about the Apple Watch from the news, too. Given the 6 hour coverage it got from the financial media, you'd think it was the only thing that happened today....

Well damn.

Considering this is the first I heard of it was in this thread.... the article of this thread and others like it had no mention of the fact that she never set up a government email address.

Open Mouth Insert Foot for Me.

I will now slink away from here with my tail between my legs and STFU.

Nobody ever argued that she managed it hands on. It was, however, in her home.
That's right. And whoever does maintenance on it will have financial records to show what was done. So investigate.

I wouldn't bet my life on it.

It might be if you smash the hard drive, and I doubt if Clinton would know where it's at. And there's always records of who worked on it and what was done to it and when.

Most news suck...

This isn't the first time a politician has done this either (or tried to do, by my memory). Political figures do it to avoid Freedom of Information subpoena. Considering that Hillary used a personal email address, the courts cannot force Hillary Clinton to obtain any particular emails archived to a secure government server and made available when any FOIA request for information contained in them is received.

Sharyl Attkisson has compiled a list of all the times Obama was out of the loop and heard about it on the news.

1. Controversial Air Force One Photo Op Flyover
2. Fast and Furious Cross-Border Operation Supplying Guns to Cartels
3. Gen. Petraeus’ Sex Scandal
4. The IRS Using Nixonian Tactics Against Conservative Groups
5. The Secret Seizure of AP News Reporters’ Phone Records
6. NSA Spying on Foreign Leaders
7. Veterans Affairs Scandal
8. Hillary Clinton’s Email Arrangement
8 Times Obama Says He Was Way Out of the Loop | Sharyl Attkisson

Shred the hard drive, dump it in a land fill, a river, the ocean. It doesn't take much. You watch too much CSI if you think it can't be destroyed.

All she needed was to have the HDD replaced and stick it in her dresser drawer. The chances of the DOJ getting a search warrant for the Clinton's residence is close to zero.

Your comments seem to make sense more if all I take them for is a personal attack.

As far as the substance.... Your sentence structure is so dis conjoined, I have absolutely no idea what you were trying to say about trips and emails....

You are missing some words there that make the first sentence make sense, and without them I can't quite figure out the guesswork on my own.

Yeah Right your usual deflection.....when you can't come up with the save for YOUR MAN.

Try using common sense for a change when coming up with your excuses.

Bet you understood that.....even with all that you lack.

Why would their have to be records? The whole damn point of setting up her server in her home was to control the records. There are plenty of IT folks who are democrat faithful who would do the work for her. If you knew anything about the subject I am sure you would help her for the honor of it.

As Lawrence O'Donnell stated on MSDNC. She did it to Defy the Law!!!!!

The issue regarding the emails seems to be uniting left and right in media circles. MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, who describes himself as a "practical European socialist,” said, “Hillary Clinton’s system was designed to defy Freedom of Information Act requests, which is designed to defy the law.”......snip~

I wouldn't make too much of O'Donnell's statement, he's a Warren/Sanders guy so will always help them when he can.

Well he did say it live JM. :2wave: Oh, and I am sure he is looking for anything. Something that can help Hillary.

As there is no getting around the fact that she opened the US to Data breaches and a Risk of Harm.

Rub that **** in with the left constantly and non-stop.....so they understand their nature of what they Stand For!

Seriously, Bob......I think most of us can work out that the president of the united states learns about most events inside his own administration well before they hit the newspapers and other media. Obama has used that excuse too many times to be trusted as credible. And what is your obsession with bathroom trips about?

This has happened many times.

Any competent President would ream somebody, or somebody's, long and deep after it happened the first time he got embarrassed like this. It would not happen again after that, if there was a competent President n the White House.

How else can you explain this?

You would have thought Obama would have noticed her domain ****YOUISHOULDHAVEWON.COM but I guess he didn't

You go ahead and think that my friend, but I would tell her if I do something for you and I get called in to a court room, I'm going to tell the truth and show the proper records. I only work for you. Why should I go to jail because I lied for you? Think about it.

Dems and Repubs suspected Iraq had weapons of mass destruction..The Bush administration assured us that this was true when in fact it wasn't.

Do you think that the assurance just came from thin air or do you think the assurance rose from the FACT that ever intelligence agency on the planet was saying that this was the case?

By the by, the authorization vote was passed by a bi-partisan majority.

You are entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.
