BBC News - US ambassador to South Korea injured by knife-wielding attacker

Mr Lippert, 42, was attending a breakfast meeting when he was slashed on his face and left hand.

He was taken to hospital but his injuries are not life-threatening.

The attacker, a 55-year-old man with a history of militant Korean nationalistic activism, reportedly shouted for North and South Korea to be reunified.

He was subdued by security officers and arrested.

Let me guess, this means all South Koreans are potentially violent people, right? And moderate Koreans should have stood this guy up long ago, right?

note to self...when in South Korea, skip public breakfast - South Koreans are obviously VERY cranky before their morning coffee.

Seriously, I hope he is okay.
