One could have said the exact same thing back in 1990 or so about Bill Clinton - Bill who?, they'd say - and in hindsight they sounded just as stupid.

also your assumption is 100% wrong, nothing in my post is based on "whether I personally support him" they are just based on reality. I do agree though any views based on that would be stupid, good thing that has nothing to do with my post
Everything in your post is based on whether you support him. You are making value judgements on the value of his run based entirely on how you view his candidacy and your very limited understanding of the system and history.

Evolution isn't an election issue. Not believing in evolution is.

Just like how gravity isn't an election issue. Not believing in it would be.

If a candidate does is unable to accept evolution (or gravity, or homosexual marriage, as in the case of Ben Carson) then that is a big red mark in my book.

How is the simple act of participating in the electoral process a waste of time and money?

Are the Obama lemmings so terrified of a new idea they can't tolerate the idea of someone with different ideas coming on the scene?

And by your standards, Hillary lost eight years ago, that was a waste of time and money and you are willing to let her waste more? Or do you think the 70's something woman with no platform has a chance......

Actually, in my view you're far less advanced - it's why I made the point. Here in Canada we've had a female Prime Minister - most first world democracies have, except one - and even though we have far fewer black people in numbers and percentage, we've recently had a very popular black Governor General here in Ontario - people here generally don't give such things much thought.

    You don't have anything saved.

    Well isn't that precious!

So you are completely comfortable with slandering a man you don't know with absolutely NO proof....

It seems to me you either hate this guy for some reason, or you are terrified of what he can do to Obama's fading image.

    Maybe both

while i agree that the current political atmosphere in this country is very partisan and that started before Obama and continued with him I still don't think it will have an impact against race in the negative at all.
Whether one agrees with Obama or not his ability to unite people is in fact what got him elected twice. And while media loves race stories and while the people who were already bigots in this country lost thier **** when he was elected and became very loud squeaky wheels, in general, to NORMAL people, race relations in this country haven't been better IMO. Its only the people that already have a problem with race (all races included) that are in overdrive.

I do believe we have no less than six women premiers if I am not mistaken, and how can we forget our first ever Chines Canadian female governor general?

As we speak, BC has a first nations governor general and we have two blacks in office.

Considering our first woman prime minister was about 25 years ago.....I would say yeah, we are more advanced.
