Plenty of other scientists have delved into the emergence of complexity in evolution (such as the evolution of the eye). It has been Carsons prerogative to ignore that in favor of a centuries old book. That is not a decision I can respect, and not a quality I want in a leader.
Evolution doesn't necessarily preclude the existence of God.

Sure, Carson is worthy of respect. But a dumb opinion, even from an incredibly smart person, is not worthy of respect.
Flawed logic here, and in any case I will get his perspective from him and not a progressive.

I didn't really expect Carson to run. But from the look of this it sounds like he is actually extremely likely to make the attempt. I guess that makes sense considering he's hovering in 2nd or 3rd place in the polls though. I still find it extremely unlikely he'll win the nomination with his lack of political and campaign experience.

I am a huge fan for Carson for President, just not yet. But a Walker/Carson ticket would be to my liking. That would give him some government experience and prime him for a run in the future.
The Gruber-crat is strong in this one!

Are you suggesting that an internationally renowned neurosurgeon doesn't understand or appreciate science or its methodologies?
If Ben Carson did not believe in gravity, or did not believe that the Earth was spherical, I would also consider that to be an election issue because it betrays a deep ignorance.
Perhaps, but neither of those subjects were mentioned. Anyone who believed that Barrack Obama was a good President would be ignorant as well, but that's off topic also.
I'm not suggesting the president has to be a theoretical physicist, but I am not one to follow ignorance.
    Of course not.

No, it's not, because his opinion is wrong.

How many years has Carson spent researching evolution?

He will be outstanding as Scott Walker's health care czar.

    He hasn't had time. He's a surgeon.

You know the nut job Lyndon Larouche runs as a Democrat every presidential election and gets no support from the Democratic base because he is a total nut job. Yet, a lunatic like Ben Carson polls 2nd or 3rd among Republican candidates. Seriously, the guy's quotes are a treasure trove of insanity.

Take your pick he is a nut: Ben Carson | Right Wing Watch
