Clinton had no official State Dept. email address

I agree. Hillary should have been strong enough to leave a cheater like Marianne Gingrich did.

Should a person who is running for the most powerful position in the World be held to a higher standard?!?

Bubba's serial philandering was always part of the deal, I think; Lewinsky was different because of the public humiliation. But the private stuff doesn't have anything to do with the e-mail system.

It has all to do with establishing the doormat's integrity and charter, which is relevant in determining if she should be given the benefit of the doubt on this email issue. The big picture proves she has the class, integrity, character and person self-esteem of a dung-beetle.

Maybe you should.
First, read the definition section of the orginial bill not with the recent amendments. Look to what it defines records as. Then go to the power it gives the archivist. Does it use the word records?
Second, red the definition section of the amendments. Read what it defines as "records" and "records recorded". Then go the section where it gives power to the archviist. Does it use the words "records recorded"?

You're twisting and turning on an incorrect reading of the bill. Everyone else since 1950 has no problem understanding what the bill requires. The definitions definitely include email.

None of which disproves my statement that the Secretary of State has no pressing need for an official email address.

Oh, sure. In fact, why not just conduct all official business on Twitter.

Oh, sure. In fact, why not just conduct all official business on Twitter.

She wouldn't do that. All traffic and content is logged and she can't get to the logs to delete and edit what she doesn't want to answer through subpoena.

Yes, no fuss at all over Obama's Secretary of state violating the Federal Records act and going out of her way to make sure her Emails couldn't be secured by any future Congressional Committee investigations.

The most " transparent " administration in History, huh ?

Progressives lies are catching up to this administration.

Did you see specifically why I asked what all the fuss was about? And no, not only is this not the most transparent administration in history, it's most likely the least. And what adds salt to that wound, was candidate Obama's promises to the contrary. Don't know what to say when a perceived lefty says something like that, do ya Fenton?

Is it my imagination, or does it seem like since Obama took office that democrats have acted like the rules no longer apply to them? They seem to defy the law at will and don't give a damn who knows.

Its just your imagination.

Its just your imagination.

They have ignored the law outright on more than one occasion.

It would take quite a imagination to say they haven't.

Being that I am someone that has done this work for a long time can to explain what other avenues you are talking about that 1) Distributes the necessary information 2) Meets the archival requirements in effect for all official communications 3) Complies with FOIA legal requirements?

Paper. Recorded phone conversations.

Wow. She created a private domain to house her email on the first day of her confirmation hearings in 2009, and never had an official federal email account.

How is it that nobody at the federal level thought to ask why everything that went to Clinton was off the books?

The political fallout has begun.

Revelation About Clinton Emails Catches Democrats Off Guard

"WASHINGTON — The revelation that Hillary Rodham Clinton conducted government business entirely on a private email account as secretary of state has blindsided the Democratic establishment.

It was a bracing reminder of the risks entailed in the party’s all-but-all-in bet on Mrs. Clinton so early in the presidential nominating process. And it left Democrats contemplating the prospect of yet another long cycle of dramatic Clinton flare-ups — the type that President Obama obliquely campaigned against in 2008.
The report on Mrs. Clinton’s emails, published by The New York Times late Monday night, left many Democrats privately expressing wonder as late as Wednesday morning that Mrs. Clinton and her aides had not anticipated the political problems that this could create. . . . "

You're twisting and turning on an incorrect reading of the bill. Everyone else since 1950 has no problem understanding what the bill requires. The definitions definitely include email.

But you've just got to understand that, as a Clinton, the regular rules that apply to regular people just don't apply to them.

It's the whole equal treatment under the law thing that's got you all screwed up.

You have to look at it from the Clinton's righteous liberal elite perspective.

Not the point. The point is that with a private account there's no way to tell whether she is faithful or not.
Colin Powell had a nongovernmental email account when he was SoS.

Almost everyone had one and still does. The point is that official business is to be conducted on the official account.

Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill said in a statement Tuesday: “Like secretaries of state before her, she used her own email account when engaging with any Department officials. For government business, she emailed them on their Department accounts, with every expectation they would be retained.

Hillary Clinton used private e-mail for government business at State Dept. - The Washington Post

Madison — Thousands of documents unsealed Wednesday link Gov. Scott Walker to a secret email system used in his office that would avoid public scrutiny when he was Milwaukee County executive.

Emails link Scott Walker to secret email system

Private e-mail systems can't possibly have the securities and protections from hacking, or the scrutiny of official ones. This could be a national security issue. It's hugely problematic and needs to stop. Some 2016 presidential contenders have used such systems to avoid FOIA public scrutiny.

You really need more current material. This year-old story has already been laid to rest.

Inconvenient truths are laid to rest everyday, that doesn't mean that they're sleeping.

As of today, none of the breaking news is releasing the contents of any of these emails.

Irrelevant. That she was conduction Federal business on a private email account is enough.
