Just try and imagine if the roles were reversed for Nimoy and Shatner. Doesn't work.

^5! Yes, that's it! I had to look it up, or be driven crazy. LOL

Very un-Spock-like and poor, poor Nurse Chapel. Pining away.

This is the important stuff. We canít get lost in discrimination. We canít get lost in B.S. We canít get lost tearing each other down. I want to make a point here that no matter what you look like, where you come from, how you worship, who you love, how you identify, and yeah, how you run, that if you have good public policy ideas, if you are well qualified for office, bring those ideas to the table, because this is your America, too. This is our commonwealth of Virginia, too.

If it wouldn't be too nosy, what Lunch were you at that you were toasting with Chardonnay?

I had to go to Wiki to refresh memory of that episode. I liked the Romulan Commander's verbal salute to Kirk! Touching last words between equals....

The original film (Robert Mitchum & Kurt Jurgens) was a favorite as well.

I hold him in contrast to Richard Dreyfuss, who has somewhat of, in my opinion, an unearned reputation for "having airs", the worst of Canadian sins. Dreyfuss has never forgotten his roots in Jewish Montreal, where Shatner on the other hand hides his middle class Montreal roots. Unlike Shat, Dreyfuss absents himself from the limelight; then we look forward to him showing up in films like RED.

But in the acting category, none represents an ideal of my country better than Christopher Plummer, he's the "oh yeah, that guy" who's villain makes a picture like Inside Man, or his romantic old fool in Must Love Dogs. A highly successful actor for 56 years and counting, a man of class and dignity who requires no fan club.
Never even knew he was Canadian, but I guess that kind of proves your point doesn't it?

I'm very sad. Spock was a hero of my childhood. I had such a crush on him! He sexified Vulcanism. RIP, Leonard. You may be gone, but you will not be forgotten by the millions of fans who love you.
