The Russian government is already advancing possible motive's for the murder ... killed by fellow opposition members, an attempt to destabilize the state, Islamist extremists. Everything other than the fact that Nemtsov was best known as a highly vocal critic of Putin and his regime.
As a Brit it sounds a bit like when you have a mass high school shooting in the States. The newsfeeds there will blame mental health ,poverty, sunspots in fact anything that will deflect from the fact that perhaps naughty little Jimmy had far too easy access to an arsenal of 'legal' assault weapons when he was having a bad day.

Putin is too smart to kill somebody like that. He knows what that will be perceived like.

Killing journalists and opposition is common in Russia.

Not every assassination attempt is as smooth apparently. Also, my feelings and me in general is irrelevant to the topic.

According to some articles about this that I've read it looks like one of the leading causes of death in Russia is being publicly opposed to Putin.

Doesn't this take you back about 30 or 40 years? After seeing the Russian people finally get some hope, along comes Putin. Who would have thought.

Such perceptions haven't troubled him in the past so why do you think they will now ? This guy is just the latest on a long list of victims

I totally agree. This reminds us of what was going on when Stalin, Khrushchev, etc. were in charge.

I don't have any inside knowledge but I suspect that these people are being killed by some people who are trying to please Putin. I kind of doubt that Putin has ordered these killings, but who really knows?

I think your suspicions are probably accurate.

Such a shame to see what is going on. I remember watching the Yeltsin on top of the tank, the fall of the Berlin Wall. It all seemed so surreal after all those years of duck and cover drills in school, Fallout Shelter signs, Air Raid siren tests.

It seems like deja vu all over again.

Attempt? I thought Boris was deceased. I note that you have nothing but a bias to prove your claims on the Kremlin.
Killing one person is murder, killing 100,000 is foreign policy
