No idea.(second, no I'm not considering, admittedly, Democracy hasn't been that great for Russia). But, besides that, what would a Russian Communist government look like.... if not the Soviet Union?
But it goes way beyond the communist party. The Wiki article lists many members of the opposition of putin in Russia who were nominated by the anti-putin movement.
Yes. Excuse me, one too many Miller Lites as I wait for the snow.I could be wrong, but did you mean to say that the elections are fraudulent?
I dont doubt that Putin has been appreciated by many in the Russian population, but I do however doubt his electorial tactis as do many observers of not only the presidential election, but the legislative elections as well.If that's the case, I would actually be surprised to find out if they were. As I said, I think there is a lot of genuine appreciation for that Putin has done (I've had the privilege of speaking to a couple of Russians actually in one of my online gaming groups who have expressed as much).
87-89 is when they gained momentum.
When did this occur though?
Well yes that is when they started to gain momentum because of Glasnost.See I'd be very surprised if it occurred in the beginning with a traditionalist like Brezhnev in power, but not so shocked if it occurred either midway or towards the end during Gorbachev who was a far more moderate leader, and a reformer in many respects.
