DHS funding expected to run out as key House vote fails

DHS funding expected to run out as key House vote fails - CNN.com

The Republican-controlled House was unable to muster enough votes to pass the 3-week stopgap measure.

The Department of Homeland Security currently has 6 hours left of full funding left.

Somebody pass me the popcorn. It's gonna be a long night on Capitol Hill.

He can just sign an executive order that funds the DHS with his pen and phone.... no?
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

Then he would be walking back the admin's "everything is better now" mantra. Does DHS need all the money or not?

I'm hearing Twitter rumors that the House may try to pass a one-week bill. Yes, one-week. Nothing confirmed yet.

Less than 6 hours to go.

What else can they do though? I mean, the whole reason we're in the sorry place we are in (not just with the DHS stuff but with the US Budget in general) is that everyone seems to agree that some cutbacks are needed, but no one is willing to cut back on their pet project. At some point, the line has to be drawn somewhere doesn't it?

Democrats endangering the security of the homeland by standing loyal to illegal foreign immigrants.

    that , people, is patriotism.
