At some point, the line has to be drawn somewhere doesn't it?
I refer you to my previous answer. Six months should even be enough time for Boehner to hammer out a more long-term solution.

Democrats had six years to fix the budget and debt crisis in this country, so I'm not exactly critical of Boehner not being able to hammer out a long-term solution in six months. That being said, I've grown so tired of the back and forth between Republicans and the White House on these issues when the solutions are so obvious...

Also, in reference to your post about the illegal immigrants thing, Obama is the one that started all this when he decided to go unilaterally and act before the Republican Congress was sworn into office.

Dude, this is not a matter of months or even weeks. This is a matter of hours. What kind of message does it send to the world when we can't even fund the organization that purports to stop terrorist attacks on our soil before they even happen?

All the critical functions will continue to occur, that's well within the President's power to do so, just as occurred during the brief shutdown. Of course, I guess if Obama wanted to prove a point, he could choose not to, as he's done in the past. Look, the government is dysfunctional, and it's not like this latest incident was really that newsy in the sense it wasn't expected.

What kind of message did the Obama administration send to the rest of the World when he decided to bail out Iraq without a SoFA agreement in place ?

What kind of message does it say to the world when Obama won't even associate Islam with Islamo-terrorist ?

What kind of message does it say when the Obama comes out and warns against terrorist attacks by " Right Wing " groups right after ISIS beheads a bunch of Coptic Christians ?

Obama isn't concerned about what the World thinks and niether should you.

The GOP is trying hard to prove they're incapable of actually governing. I'd laugh at the incompetence, but this kind of stuff really isn't funny.

The Republican-controlled House was unable to muster enough votes to pass the 3-week stopgap measure.

The Department of Homeland Security currently has 6 hours left of full funding left.

Somebody pass me the popcorn. It's gonna be a long night on Capitol Hill.
3 weeks - good they turned it down- no more drama for the 3 weeks with boner who cannot talk to his Senate counterpart, so he that is cued to cry at the right time can save his tears.

They're doing a bang up job Governing here in my home state of Texas.

Billions of dollars in a rainy day fund, a growing economy, millions of Americans bailing out of Blue Plague States like California moving here to find jobs.

Texas leads the Nation in Job Creation across al income levels and every sector of our diverse economy has out grown the Obama economy by leaps and bounds.

You may not know what the word " incompetent " means so Ill help you out with a example.

Incompetent is coming out and raising the alarm on the chance of terror attacks by home grown " right wing " groups right after ISIS beheads a bunch of Coptic Christians.

If we can pretend to enforce immigration law without funding then we can pretend to protect the homeland without funding as well. Government "shutdowns" amount ro paid vacations for the affected non-essential public servant personnel accompanied by slowdowns of the rest - only the contractors get screwed since it is deemed immoral (illegal?) to pay them not to work.

What shouldn't surprise me but still does is how little control Boehner has over his own caucus. So in that sense it's expected - he's proving to be pretty incompetent which is nothing new.
