Yes, isn't it AMAZING in three short weeks Mr. Camus discovered all those e-mails! This would never had happened unless Judicial Watch won its cases in court with the judge putting the pressure on those emails being retrieved.

For as much as these folks stalled and lied to keep this covered up, I have no doubt there are names associated with this administration that will be facing felony charges for using the IRS for political gain. And no doubt some Democrat senators too.

Hopefully we'll find out. I have my doubts, but with this new evidence perhaps we'll get some clarity rather than obfuscation.

Oh boy...this is so reminiscent of Watergate and the files congress was after. We all remember the tapes, but I also remember exchanges just like this "no one asked?"

I would suspect her "retirement" is something less than "golden" at this point. Meetings with criminal defense attorneys are never much fun and never lead to sex

The key is to focus the investigation on what happened rather than making it about the White House and President Obama until and if there is any real evidence that there was direct involvement of anyone at the White House or anyone representing the president's wishes directly. To date no such evidence has been unearthed. More investigation and less poltical grandstanding by the committee would also be helpful

I don't think Lerner did this all by herself. I expect that campaign elements were involved, but that doesn't necessarily mean the president's inner circle, and proving those connections might be difficult, depending on the content of the new material. I think Koskinen is toast in any case. And yes, in spite of everyone's desire to make this a non-partisan thing, it will be partisan. It has been thus far, and I don't see that changing - the desire for retribution is probably too strong to deny.

There is no problem with it being partisan, most everything in Washington is, but the process of the investigation has to be focused on finding the truth over scoring political gotcha points which was most often the focus of Rep Issa led investigations.

That's Issa, and I never expect anything else from him. The withholding of the information was partisan-inspired, so any hope that the unraveling will be anything else should be dismissed as wishful thinking. However, I would prefer that facts take precedent over the inevitable grandstanding that will take place on both sides of the aisle. If they need some help with a person who would say "Yeah. Shut up," and dismiss such crap, I'm available.

If some candidates vying for 2016 make such things issues, they will be covered. Let's hope some have the gumption to do that. Benghazi is finally about incompetence and dereliction, but the IRS thing is truly an issue which strikes to the heart of our institutionalized values. That's pretty significant, and even the liberal media knows it. They'll only avoid it until they can't, which might happen pretty quickly.

The activities of the IRS that are the target of this investigation were a strategic and tactical response to the Citizens United ruling. It is so freaking obvious...

There is nothing to report or debate. The IRS IG George said way back in June that there was an investigation on going. It's only in the news because we have a new Senator picking up the mantle and most likely will be calling for hearings soon.

No real news.
