A movement is underway to stage an informal protest when former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush hits the CPAC stage Friday. William Temple, a member of the Golden Isle Tea Party, told The Washington Times that the party doesn’t need another Bush in office, and said that the party should listen to the grass-roots activists that helped fuel their gains in the 2014 election. “A lot of peoples were not going to come here because they heard Jeb Bush was speaking,” Mr. Temple said before laying out his plan at the Conservative Political Action Conference. “We are going to get up en masse, and we are going to walk out on him,” the 64-year-old said. “We are not going to interrupt anyone’s speech, but we are all going to exercise our right to [use] the bathroom at the same time.” Mr. Bush is expected to take part in a 20-minute question-and-answer session on Friday with Fox News host Sean Hannity. Former Florida Gov. Jeb. Bush speaks to the Chicago Council on Global ... more*>
He is leading in many early GOP presidential polls, but also is out of sync with many conservatives because he supports Common Core K-12 education standards and an immigration fix that includes legalizing the millions of people who are living here illegally.

Thoughts?

Petulant children come to mind...

CPAC stands for "Conservative People Acting Childish" doesn't it?

What's with all the hate for Jeb Bush?

No, it doesn't. But I hope that they don't do this because creating such drama isn't necessary.

I don't want another Bush in office either. And if they want to walk out on him because of his politics, more power to them. But walking out on him just because of who is brother is petty and a dick move.

I think it is a little early to narrow the field. Let the guy come, say his peace and then we can all blog about what a jerk he is.

Thoughts?

I have my doubts on a significant walkout during Jeb Bush's time to speak, but I do suspect the questions he will have to field will challenge his more liberal positions on immigration, common core, etc. As well I am unsure how he will answer on dealing with ISIS, Al Qaeda, etc.

CPAC though may be an interesting point in the process to see if core social conservative Republicans are interested in a 3rd time around with the Bush family.

What's childish about people who attend not wanting to see a dynasty in this country and refusing to allow the establishment to select their candidate for them? Because that's what they're protesting.

I don't necessarily agree with them, but that hardly makes them childish.

I would walk out on Jeb bush.

So I can't say more then I think this would be amusing to watch

I'm going to get to meet him next month for the first time. I'd like to see what he has to say. I don't think I'll have much interest in supporting him but I'd like to hear him out before I discount him completely.

It is their right to do so, but walking out in protest isn't very respectful to a candidate. Let him give his speech and let him answer questions, as some are interested in what he has to say. It is not about them, it is about citizens interested in a potential GOP nominee. They are welcome to campaign and vote for some other guy. It is really that simple.
I am curious as to who their favorite candidate is. Walker?
Lets not forget, should Jeb be the GOP nominee, these same people will rally around him and against the DNC candidate, no questions asks.
To sum it up in a nutshell, grandstanding, nothing more

They want someone new and fresh, according to the article. He specifically mentioned Walker and Cruz by name.

I can't imagine what's to be gained by walking out on someone anyway. I've sat through until the bitter end listening to some of these politicians - yes, even Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. I want to chew my left eyeball out while doing so, but it's always better to listen and then decide. And I agree that protestors are distractions that are unfair to those who want to listen.

I don't see anything wrong with this unless you are a Bush supporter.

Ivve heard enough. Hes a common core whore, an open boarders traitor and thinks govment is the answer. Three strikes in my book. Big ones.

Greetings, tres borrachos. :2wave:

:agree: Well, this is certainly a new approach - showing up in the first place so they can cause a disturbance by walking out? Why prove to the world that there are idiots running around loose? It's not like it's a surprise speaker or anything! If you don't like the guy or gal, stay home - some people may actually want to hear what they have to say! Yeah, really! Sheesh!

Hi Pol, he's one of many speakers at the convention. I don't think they're showing up just for the purpose of protesting him. I think they probably go to hear the other speakers.
