Woe is me! I am somewhat perplexed. We, the USA, are funding Islamic rebels in at least 6 countries like Libya, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and who knows what other Nations. Are we on the rebels side, and if so, why not interview a dozen or so of these Islamic rebels and allow the long suffering taxpaying citizen to project an opinion of the worthiness, or lack thereof, of the endeavor? This is just another MSM agenda to create the fear needed to support the ME and Terror War plans and use Homeland Security to keep the taxpayer in his place. Perhaps underfoot, eh?

Exactly so. We just think that these countries are going to magically introduce democratic republics but the people, by and large, simply don't want that. A lot of them want theocracies, they want dictators, because in the past, for as horrible as we in the west think those dictators have been, they've also made clean water and food available to the people. That's all these people want because that's all they know. We go in, depose the government and walk away and expect things to change. We're idiots.

And I think you've nailed it, AmericanWoman. None of us want to think like that and it's part of the human denial (what a tiresome word) defense that we all seem to need, some more than others. But in our hearts, way back there, we know some serious problems exist and also in those deep recesses of our muddled minds that something must eventually be done, by someone.

There are people who say they will do their best to solve the problems but instead we rely on meaningless political slogans, you know them as well as I, and ridicule those who may offer real plans or strategies. These people who offer possible and genuine startegies worry us more than the problems we face.

We are re-living the age of Jimmy Carter where shutting off the lights in the White House was thought to set a lofty example, or a smiling Gerald Ford wearing a W.I.N. button (Whip Inflation Now) as though that would do any real good. It's all words over policy, contradictions from one week to the next, and condescending lies, piled one upon the last, all accompanied by throngs of addle-headed beliebers buying into the BS and then shamelessly and mindlessly repeating it.

Rant over...for now.
