I do not believe Obama to be anti-Israel. And Israel should return to the '67 borders, after all, two peoples have to live in that area. The way Israel keeps gobbling up occupied land which belong to the Palestinians leads one to seriously believe Israel does not want two states. The international community eventually will begin to impose sanctions on Israel: crimes against humanity and the continued stealing of Palestinian land; there will be nothing the US can do to stop this. You are against criticism of Israel and think they can do no wrong. I am at the opposite end of the spectrum in this perception.

I won't quote the whole thing, but that article misses the point entirely. No one actually cares that BOEHNER broke protocol. Who gives a crap - he's the GOP Speaker and part of his daily job description is throwing bricks at the POTUS.

The controversy is that Ambassador Dermer and Bibi went along with it.

Let me ask you this. Based on the quote. "The nationwide poll, released Tuesday, shows 63% of Americans say it was a bad move for congressional leadership to extend the invitation without giving President Barack Obama a heads up that it was coming. Only 33% say it was the right thing to do."

IF Boehner and Congress informed the President before extending the invention, would 63% of Americans still say it was a bad move to have the Israeli PM speak?
Most likely yes. The PM's visit is seen as undermining the President's policy with Iran. Nothing is going to change by Netanyahu coming here for a reelection opt. The timing was and is all wrong. Cannot you comprehend this? It is insulting the president of the US by trying to make him look impotent in foreign policy. Netanyahu thinks he's smarter than Obama and his visit is designed to do just that. The last time the crook came to the US to speak to congress, he was running for election and used the footage from his speech to congress to run in his campaign ads to convince the Israeli people he was the right man who could deal with the US congress.

He didn't actually call for that - what he did was reiterate the decades long position of the U.S. through the H.W. Bush, Clinton, and W. Bush administrations.

    Yes I understand the politics.
imo, no one needs to show Obama is impotent is foreign policy. The President is very capable of doing it by himself.

I still get a kick out of the "poll".

There is no way, not a friggen CHANCE that "the majority of Americans" even know who Netenyahu is and even less know anything about the circumstances of his visit. Half the people in this country don't even know the name of the Vice President for Christ sake.

Well he is, and considering the exponential increase in new rocket attacks that would occur right after they reset their borders, supporting a return to 1967 borders is a very anti-Israel position.

Obama knows this, and so does lurch ( John Kerry ).

And the " International Community " is representitve of a bunch of anti-American despots and dictators taking up perfectly good space at the UN Headquarters in Ny.

They can impose away, they still lack the credibility and the moral authority to be taken seriously by anyone other than their authortarian peers.

Let the representitives from Cuba cast the first vote for sanctions against Israel based on " crimes against humanity "....Lol

    interesting on its own

    perhaps even more interesting.

When looking at these two in concert,
Are we finally seeing a shift in the general populace with respect to our policies with Israel?

Still ashamed that Congress gave into Netanyahu's cheap election ploy.
Like anyone is really going to take a CNN poll seriously.
