You keep saying this but you have no actual proof other than, in summation "You know those Republicans and Islraelis and how they do business..."

Here's the advance notice. Boehner: "I gave 'em a heads up that morning"
AND Dremer called the White House to see if there were any objections. He received none. You conveniently miss this crucial step in the process.

BTW, if Pelosi had invited Assad to address Congress without notifying the WH, and in spite of WH objections, you'd have a point. Otherwise, it's a pretty lame red herring.
You keep pushing the phony narrative, I see. Boehner contacted the white house to let them know and Dremer called the White House to make sure it was OK. The White House had to opportunity to air grievances and didn't.

So you think it's OK for Pelosi to go to Syria and negotiate on behalf of the US and Israel without the blessing of either country? Why am I not surprised by this?

Will a quote from the Weekly Standard on the morning of the invitation suffice?

Boehner Jabs Obama By Inviting Bibi to Address Joint Session of Congress | The Weekly Standard

Let's bold the headline, shall we?

Boehner Jabs Obama By Inviting Bibi to Address Joint Session of Congress

And the statement Boehner released ahead of time:

“You may have seen that on Friday, the president warned us not to move ahead with sanctions on Iran, a state sponsor of terror. His exact message to us was: 'Hold your fire.' He expects us to stand idly by and do nothing while he cuts a bad deal with Iran. Two words: 'Hell no!' … we’re going to do no such thing," Boehner's expected to tell his fellow Republicans.

“So today I will announce that I am inviting the Prime Minister of Israel, a great friend of this country, to address a joint meeting of Congress next month
. And I am specifically asking him to address Congress on the threats posed by radical Islam and Iran. America and Israel have always stood together in shared cause and common ideals, and now we must rise to the moment again. Let’s send a clear message to the White House – and the world – about our commitment to Israel and our allies.”
BTW, check the time stamp on that story - 9:30am..... day of official invite. The WH was given the "heads up" that morning.... No snub intended - they must've had 10 minutes advance notice before Weekly Standard was given the go ahead for the story.

You're asking me to believe that pee on my legs is rain. Pretty funny.

    Nope.

And the statement Boehner released ahead of time:
Where is this draft speech? Can you find any other source reporting this? It appears there is something missing between the two statements. I'd like to actually see the complete speech for context of the two statements.

You seem to be half-assing your way to you points here.

Boehner issued the invitation on the morning of January 21st, Dremer contacted the White House to see if there were any objections. Having received no objections Dremer accepted the invitation.

The reason I ask is because I was taught that each is equal in authority to the others - ie, none of them report to each other, and if the House wants to ask Ronald McDonald or Lady GaGa to speak, they are legally permitted to do so, without getting permission from anyone. Am I incorrect?

I would assume that to be true. But then the constitution was written by men who believed in Democracy, whereas Obama seems to think he is above congress.

Ah, so you are conflating an Israeli politician employing a US citizen with an action group funded by US money? Gotcha.

You don't trust Weekly Standard? If you think Daniel Harper made up talking points he said were supplied to him by Boehner, and put quotes around them, that's a pretty serious allegation.

You seem to be half-assing your way to you points here.
I'm going to quit after this post. It's obvious to everyone that at least Boehner was intentionally snubbing Obama, and was proud of that - it was red meat to his base, they love that crap. If you want to say the Ambassador and the PM were innocent victims, fine. I don't believe for one moment Boehner sprung this on them by surprise because I don't believe the Israeli ambassador to the U.S. is stupid or incompetent and didn't at some point say, "Hey John, talked to the WH yet? No? Hey man, that's gotta happen like yesterday - get it done or I will" etc.

Boehner issued the invitation on the morning of January 21st, Dremer contacted the White House to see if there were any objections. Having received no objections Dremer accepted the invitation.
Please, I'm not THAT gullible. Once the official invitation was issued, with almost no advance notice, Obama's hands were tied. If he objected, Obama gets criticized for that because at that point he's UNinviting Netanyahu. I could write the headlines. And Obama has no authority to prevent the speech anyway. The deal was done with the public invitation and everyone knew it.

If you're interested in stories about republicans and democratic consultants working in Israel, your Google works as well as mine. Here's another easy find:

American advisers, money shape Israel's election

Surely you're not suggesting that conservatives U.S. Jews are sitting this election out, are you? Sheldon Adelson is sitting on his hands? Give me a break, you're trying hard to deny the obvious in this thread. It's not like you.

Yeah, so? Like this administration has treated Netanyahu with any respect. But, they didn't like Netanyahu accepting the invite so, they and you claim Boehner of a constitutional breech? That's flat out dishonest.
