U.S. Announces Plan for Massive Counter-ISIS Attack [W:228]

The reason for announcing the offensive is so Obama can look like he's doing something.

This operation either, won't happen, or a half hearted attempt will be made,mthen Obama can say, "see? I'm doing something. I tried to launch an offensive, but I couldn't, because fill in excuse here.

Oh come on. Give the military you served in some credit. It's a diversion. Same as when Saddam thought we were coming in by sea and never did. These stupid ****ers are going to build up everything they have in Mosul and we attack somewhere else. Then when they stream out of Mosul to come to the aid of the others we bomb the **** out of them.

You rightwing armchair generals kill me!

Lets not forget that this gives time (and an excuse) for innocent people who do want out, to get out.

Nothing fosters more potential terrorists than occupying innocent people and fostering resentment amongst them.

if indeed it's a scheduled plan.. it is insane to release this information.. .which includes troop strength and composition.

even folks in the Pentagon are freaking out over releasing it... but i guess they are "whining" too... so we'll let the military experts/Obama sycophants do their thing and defend releasing operational information.. the kind that can and has landed people in the brig.

the Pentagon is pretty surprised at Centcom for releasing the information too... but don't let that get in your way.

If you think the Pentagon (skilled career military leaders who know that operational security and surprise are worth in the field) went and spilled the beans on that, rather than Obama (who doesn't know what the **** he's doing) directing them to spill the beans on that, well, how are your unicorns?
