Since when did we fight in Egypt? Why should we send in troops to bumb**** Eqypt? The present government doesn't even like us.

Libya was a success militarily. What did you want an invasion?

Since when did we go to war with Russia and lose? Should we be involved in Ukraine where are lot of the population is loyal to Russia?

Did you really wany us to put boots on the ground in Syria? Why should we?

And Iraq is a mess handed over by Bush to Obama with the same withdrawal time line. And it's not a loss. It's on reset.

Yeah I got my take from some of BOs Team. Then the Lefts Best of MSDNC, Go figure. but really, it is better to use what YOUR MAN and his Team puts out themselves. It surely has you now questioning.....doesn't it.

As should be, when one talks out both sides of their mouth.

    Don't be so hasty.
Looks like the Admin. may be laying the groundwork for an assault ... right here in the USA.
A new intelligence assessment, circulated by the Department of Homeland Security this month and reviewed by CNN, focuses on the domestic terror threat from right-wing sovereign citizen extremists and comes as the Obama administration holds a White House conference to focus efforts to fight violent extremism.

Mornin AT. Well except that we now know of the their link to the Original Source.

On a chilly night, bearded militants gathered at a stage strung with colorful lights in Darna, a Mediterranean coastal city long notorious as Libya's center for jihadi radicals. With a roaring chant, they pledged their allegiance to the leader of the Islamic State group. With that meeting 10 days ago, the militants dragged Darna into becoming the first city outside of Iraq and Syria to join the "caliphate" announced by the extremist group. Already, the city has seen religious courts ordering killings in public, floggings of residents accused of violating Shariah law, as well as enforced segregation of male and female students. Opponents of the militants have gone into hiding or fled, terrorized by a string of slayings aimed at silencing them.

A number of leading Islamic State militants came to the city from Iraq and Syria earlier this year and over a few months united most of Darna's multiple but long-divided extremist factions behind them. They paved the way by killing any rivals, including militants, according to local activists, former city council members and a former militant interviewed by The Associated Press. They all spoke on condition of anonymity out of fear for their lives. The vow of allegiance in Darna gives the Islamic State group a foothold in Libya, an oil-rich North African nation whose central government control has collapsed in the chaos since the 2011 ouster and death of longtime dictator Moammar Gadhafi.....snip~

    Morning MMC
Don't know that I saw that specifically. Are you referring to their use of commercial planes to conduct air attacks, I think I read somewhere? I'm not diminishing Islamic State capabilities, just don't want to see embellishment like we did in early 2003 with faulty presentation and embellishment at the UN.

Going thru 3 Defense Secretaries, not listening to his Joint Chiefs, not listening to allies, says it all. Even those lefty MSDNC commentators are calling it like it is.

Both commentators also found Obama to be disconnected from the real world. Listen to Andrea Mitchell once again:

“I think that on foreign policy, his projection of success against terrorism and against ISIS, in particular, as I said, is not close to reality. They have not come up with a strategy, and they’ve built a global coalition, but again, he’s talked about Ukraine, he’s talked about Putin being isolated…but at the same time there’s renewed fighting in Donetsk, and we haven’t figured out Ukraine, we haven’t figured out how the NATO alliance can push back….So you’re right, Chris, it doesn’t match the reality.”.....snip~

Without a Status of Forces agreement, Afghanistan is on the verge of failing. But then, a SoS there wasn't important enough to hold Obama's attention or efforts. Yeah, that'd be a failure, perhaps a failure in motion yet, but a failure none the less.

Of all of this, the key is:

And add to that, the worst possible practice of the White House meddling in military decisions where they shouldn't be, just like the loss in Viet Nam.

Well these Generals and Officers are those that were or are part of his Team. One minute they say it will take 3 years to train the Iraqis at a minimum. Now they say hey....we gonna take 25k of them train them for a few months and send them in to fight the toughest type of fighting there can be, and take back a city of 1 million people. Many who are supporting ISIS.

Booby-trapped to the max and including all pathways in. Team BO says now.....Piece of cake.

Nah, they took another city and went on some suicide bombings. But I saw that one on them, using commercial planes to make drops.

Putin wants the UN to set up an Anti Terrorism Center. Having the Worlds Intel work out of there. As the Russians are saying this fight is not just the West's Alone.

To the bolded, hadn't heard that. Do you support that notion?

So ball in your court. What is the military's motivations for compromising operation security?
    Good morning, Erik.

You beat me to the punch! Why in God's name are we announcing our plans to the enemy? I can't believe it's the military making the announcements, unless this just a big psychological punt for some reason! The element of surprise is helpful in war, I've been told. Sheesh! This is being treated like a big PR announcement, like Apple does when they've promoting a new product, with lots of fanfare and hand clapping - while innocent people are being tortured and killed!

We don't see the enemy extending the same "courtesy" to us. They keep their plans secret, implement them, and we are caught with our pants down while they move onward, conquering new territory! : This is surreal! :
