Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America[W:649]

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

Rudy Giuliani is an asshole and always has been.

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

I think what so many people don't understand is that "loving your country" doesn't mean wanting it to stay exactly the way it is. I notice this far more with those on the right...they think that working to make America better means you don't love America, because you want it to be better than it is today.

Loving America doesn't mean to never strive to make it better. Loving America includes what has always made America great which is the potential for a better tomorrow. Change can happen in the United States. Change NEEDS to happen, constantly, in the United States. That is also showing you love America.

I don't disagree with any of that... which is why i say it's absurd to say he doesn't love the country.

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

Critique and dissent of US policy doesn't mean you don't like your country, the framers made sure that that was clear. It seems that there's no end to the vitriol we hear about Obama, our president, from those that claim to love America.

when i said " I think it's absurd to say he doesn't love his country" how did you interpret it?

I like the lil dig about "from those that claim to love America"...insinuating they don't really love America ( for whatever reasons you have concocted in your noggin)
it would be wise to shy away from having a double standard on the matter.

Is that a hope or is there evidence?

We do know that while overseas he has often spoke of America's flaws, that his wife was never proud to be an American, that he leaned towards Marxism, and that he attended a Church for 20 years wherein the Reverend preached "God Damn America".

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

Which still has nothing to do with Walker. Keep digging, it's fun to watch.

Watching Walker squirm hasn't been without its tickle. He needs only do what others on the right have done, put some distance. The establishment GOPers don't want Walker, and Giuliani was a trip hazard.

You watched Walker 'squirm'? Do you have a link to that squirming?

Re: Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America

What a disgusting thing for someone like Guliani to say! I respected the man at one time. No more. I can't imagine the hate it takes for someone like Guliani to say this about his President. Falls right in line with "He's not one of us" notion that some on the right have pushed since he ran in 2008. To those who push this notion, we know what you really mean. How stupid do you think we are?

Do you mean "we" or the average red state right wing voter?

Re: Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America

Giuliani was trying to be a lil creative w/the Obama = Muslum thing, but he screwed it up.

Safest bet for GOP pols when talking to right wing Southern voters is to just mention gun rights.

Guns always get red state right wing voters fired up.

I meant the American people in general. Some people actually like that kind of garbage. Some people find it disgusting. We all know though.

Re: Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America

Seems to me he's got no other office to run for so he can say any idiotic thing he wants. But Scott Walker was in the room, and he would like to be the next president, lol. Why people think they can say **** like this when they're in private meetings in a day when everyone has a phone with audio and video capabilities.

If remaining silent would eliminate a person from being elected POTUS when someone says something really, really stupid, then how did Obama get elected?

But the garbage still has to be clean.

I get it. They can't just say some of the things they think. Even if it's obvious.

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

Rudy Giuliani is an asshole and always has been.
So what did he do that "always" made him an asshole in your opinion?

You were reasonable enough to condemn what Giuliani said. Do you think Scott Walker is going to continue to have no comment, or do you think reason will eventually prevail with him, hmm?

Maybe they should have a beer summit?

Who's the "we" you refer to? Is someone reading over your shoulder or are you sharing this user name with someone else?

Already answered that.

Obama should have owned that. At any rate, unlike Scott Walker, Obama wasn't in the room. No comparison. Btw, what's so difficult in Walker saying, hey, it was stupid, Obama loves his country?

No you didn't. But I think we already know the answer.

See, I can say "we" too. It's called projecting what you think onto others. Fun game, isn't it.

How many points did he get for that comment?

I just downloaded GOP Race and I can't get above 1460. Can I score better if I bash gays before bash Muslims?

In that case, I may tag along.
