thanks for trolling and the hate. proves everything I've been saying
I think the people who kept this nothing burger thread going for 689 comments are the trolls. What has Obama said or done that proves he doesn't love America ? Nothing. You think we are going to take that clown Giuliani's word for it ?

Every time you think the far right/libertarians/tea party can't get any more nuts, along comes a story like this one.

Are you going to stand here with a straight face and tell us that was not racially motivated ?

What about Trump, demanding to see the birth certificate of the President of the United States after he had been in office for four years, and then saying the President was too busy "playing basketball" to produce his college transcripts.

No race motivation for Trump either, I suppose. How long has your head been in the sand?

This is astonishing, the level of desperation! The thread is questioning whether the president of the United States love his country...and the defense of that has degenerated into a six year old whine about "racists" with the LEAD sentence declaring "every...." no exceptions, anyone who ever questioned that birth certificate is now "racist".

Can there be a better example of the fact Obama does NOT love America? When his 'till death do us part' Grubers cannot step up and defend is loyalty in any of the thousands and thousands of teleprompter addresses he has given, and resort to tired, old, false accusations it's pretty clear there is no evidence he loves his country.

And, I am beginning to believe many of his followers hate white people....
What else is there? Every comment is met with an accusation of racism, etc. According to them there is no legitimate criticism of Obama.
So when Rudy speaks, this must be why he says what he does.

But the trust issue goes beyond the mere EO issue, and to what Guilliani is talking about. He knew exactly what he was doing, and I suggest at almost any other time in history he would have been shot down. But here we are, debating whether its true and his defenders coming up with rants about Tea Party and "racists".

By opening that door, Rudy scored a big one....because there is truth in it, especially on the issue Rudy was addressing, Obama's stupid insistence at cleansing the terms used about the enemy. And again I ask, based on his treatment of "enemies", the Republican elected to congress and his bleating about ISIS, what is there that shows he putting the needs of the soldiers at war, the civilians being slaughtered or the security of the nation ahead of his own political image...

We ask for something to show he loves his country, a seriously ugly question of a president at war, and get insults and called "racist" for asking.

    I repeat, pathetic
I see your points. Until their is a minimum level of cooperation and even less so on an increase with respect, which would be a drastic improvement, the country suffers.

You demand "evidence" that Obama "loves his country" knowing full well no answer will be good enough.

I first read that and to argue the point, but I really can't find a better comparison....Marie Antoinette maybe...

What in the hell is the "legitimate" criticism in what Giuliani said ? All that statement was is catnip for the birthers , haters, faux "patriots" , and extremists on the right. That is all it was.

Myself, that is the nearest comparison I could come up with.
With the Republicans having a Majority in both houses those 2 leaders cannot agree on many issues.
Neither have spoken to the other in 2 weeks and the country is headed for a shutdown of DHS.
How can this division be described?
And I am aware that Democrats have done the same thing.
    And the country suffers.
    From the link posted earlier.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/26/us...T.nav=top-news

Speaker John A. Boehner told his Republican conference at a closed-door meeting Wednesday morning that he and Mr. McConnell had not spoken in two weeks, something several lawmakers said they found surprising. Mr. Boehner also has not taken a position publicly on the Senate proposal, though the two men met privately for about 40 minutes Wednesday afternoon.

True. For some nothing he does nor what anyone says different will change their mind about him. For some, their minds were made up the moment he announced his candidacy for the presidency. For others, it was the moment he won. So, at this stage nothing he does will change things for him. Still, on this issue raised in the OP, I'm going to try one last time to talk sense to some folks.

    patriot

    noun

a person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its interests with devotion.
When then Sen. Obama chastised Pres. GW Bush for adding $90T to the national debt ...

    [/QUOTE]

...what he was saying wasn't that Pres. GW Bush wasn't a patriot. He wasn't saying that Pres. GW Bush didn't love this country. What he was saying was "adding to the national debt the way he did wasn't in the best interest of the country". Now, what I find interesting about all those individuals who are trying hard to twist Pres. Obama's words to mean something they didn't is two-fold:

    1) for everyone who proclaims that running debts and deficits are reckless, you'd be more in agreement with what Obama said back then.

    2) I'll stand by this: Saying what someone did is unpatriotic (i.e., "irresponsible"...not in the best interest of the country) IS NOT the same as saying the person himself isn't a patriot (i.e., has no love for his country in this context).

The two are not the same. What Obama chastised GWB for was his actions. What Giuliani wrongly did was outright claim that Obama cares little for his country.
