Re: Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America[W:649]

EVERY birther is racist. Every person who chose ,this time, to wonder whether a presidential candidate was born in the US, AND carry on with it for YEARS after the 'controversy' had been addressed and addressed and addressed. In 2012 a South Carolina tea party candidate for Congress told his audience that when HE was elected to Congress, he was going to send Obama back to Kenya.

Are you going to stand here with a straight face and tell us that was not racially motivated ?

What about Trump, demanding to see the birth certificate of the President of the United States after he had been in office for four years, and then saying the President was too busy "playing basketball" to produce his college transcripts.

No race motivation for Trump either, I suppose. How long has your head been in the sand?

If that was true then it would certainly demonstrate the power of prayer.

    2010 Washington Post column

On Saturday, the National Tea Party Federation announced it had expelled one of the movement's most prominent figures -- a California blowhard named Mark Williams -- because of the outrageously racist things he had said about the NAACP. Ejected along with Williams was his whole organization, Tea Party Express, which had been a particularly active, high-profile group.

The last straw was a "satirical" letter that Williams, a former right-wing talk radio host, posted on his Web site. It was supposed to be a missive from NAACP President Ben Jealous to Abraham Lincoln, and the Tea Party Federation deemed it "clearly offensive." With good reason.

Here is one passage: "We Colored People have taken a vote and decided that we don't cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!"

    Amazingly, it gets worse:

"Perhaps the most racist point of all in the tea parties is their demand that government 'stop raising our taxes.' That is outrageous! How will we coloreds ever get a wide-screen TV in every room if non-coloreds get to keep what they earn? Totally racist! The tea party expects coloreds to be productive members of society? Mr. Lincoln, you were the greatest racist ever. We had a great gig. Three squares, room and board, all our decisions made by the massa in the house. Please repeal the 13th and 14th Amendments and let us get back to where we belong."

That's not satire, it's hate speech.

Note the gruberites behind him clapping like seals.

BTW, we just caught 3 ISIS members here in the US, they planned to kill cops, hijack a plane, and defect to ISIS.
I wonder how Obama will refer to them?

Re: Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America[W:649]

racism has always been at the heart of the American Right, from the days of southern Anti-Federalists sensing an existential threat to slavery, through Southern secession after Abraham Lincoln’s election in 1860, to the Ku Klux Klan’s resistance to black liberation and Reconstruction, to decades of Jim Crow laws, segregation and lynching, to anger over the federal government’s forced integration in the mid-Twentieth Century, to the Tea Party’s inchoate fury against America’s demographic changes personified by the first African-American president.

On Wednesday, when Tea Partiers donned their tri-corner caps and rallied against immigration reform on Capitol Hill, it was a Hispanic who suffered the brunt of their fury. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, was treated as their own Benedict Arnold, a traitor to the movement who dared promote legislation that would open a pathway to citizenship for many of the nation’s 12 million undocumented workers.

The Tea Partiers’ hatred of what they call “amnesty” is best understood as a recognition that many of those new citizens would have brown skin and likely vote Democratic, thus further diluting white power in the United States. That fear is reflected, too, in the Right’s systematic efforts to make voting harder across the country and to continue denying the District of Columbia any congressional representation.

Anyone can figure out that if Washington D.C. were populated by white conservative Republicans, rather than many people of color and liberal Democrats, the cause of D.C. representation would be a matter of “principle” for the Tea Party. There is no clearer case in America of people suffering under a key grievance of the Revolution: “no taxation without representation.”

However, given the dark-skin demographics and political leanings of the District’s population, Tea Partiers come to Washington to decry “taxation with representation” for themselves while caring nothing about “taxation without representation” for District citizens. The Tea Partiers wave their “Don’t Tread on Me” flags, but don’t demand seats in Congress for the people who live here.

With similar hypocrisy, the Right has rewritten the nation’s Founding narrative, an undertaking that has met little resistance from mainstream commentators who either don’t know the history themselves or don’t think the fight is worth having. Yet, ceding the historical narrative to the Right has meant that many Americans now think they are following the guideposts that the Framers left behind when they are actually being led in the opposite direction.

Leading the way in the years after independence, Washington and Madison wanted a unified nation that addressed the country’s practical needs and overcame the rivalries among the states. “Thirteen sovereignties,” Washington wrote, “pulling against each other, and all tugging at the federal head, will soon bring ruin to the whole.”

Come on, FFS you guys go ape **** at a report two weeks old branding it "old news" and the best your googling can get you is a five year old black socialist opinion piece that cites nothing...

Yeah, the desperation is really showing now, first dragging up the Tea Party and now a five year old waste of band width by a wannabe journalist.

Since then, the Tea Party and its brethren have taken control of both houses of congress and more than half the states across the land,. one war has become seven, the non-affordable Careless act is way way more expensive than anyone thought and Obama is selling out the nation to a bunch of illegals who stole their place in the US...

and the best Obamaland can come up with is "Tea Party" and a five year old hot dog opinion piece about racism with not ONE LINE of attribution.

    That's pathetic!
