Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America[W:649]

Re: Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America

You don't speak for the American people - certainly not me.

So you don't understand what people mean with the "He's not one of us" notion regarding President Obama? I'll bet you do. I doubt anyone who isn't smart enough to understand would even be posting here.

Do you have anything to add to the topic, or are you here to speak in code about "people"?

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

It's the classic fascistic notion of the partisans.

"You don't believe as I do, therefore you don't love this country".

That's not the vibe I got at all. His conclusion is sound when drawn from the premises of his argument. And none of his premises are untrue. I've never liked Obama, I don't think he loves america, at the very least he has open contempt for many Americans, he is blocking senator Ron wydens forestry bill because he hates timber industry, that's hurting many Americans, he is blocking needed relief for california farmers, he believes us small town dwellers are bitter people clinging to guns and god, he's may love the dirt america sits on, I don't see much in terms of respect for the various peoples who live here, except the really weathly class who bankroll him...

I said what I had to say on it. I've been strictly responding to questions since then. Should I just ignore all questions on here. I'm new. Is that what "we" do here?

Okay, so who are all the people who say "He's not one of us", and what is it that they mean exactly? And what does it have to do with Rudy?

That's an interesting progressive position!

it's not really code... it's the same old " if you don't like Obama, you're a racist" argument the left is renowned for.

I meant the American people in general.

You misunderstand - I know what you meant. I'm simply saying you don't speak for the American people and you don't speak for me - I'll speak for me.

It is consistent, the rate of union workers keeps declining, healthcare costs have increased, instead of enacting universal healthcare we got a bill that's a boondoggle bailout to the insurance industry. Our infrastructure continues to decline. He's objectively made nothing better. When he had a democrat controlled congress the only real piece of legislation they passed in one house was cap and trade, meant to squeeze the middle class of money.

I think your accusing Obama of acting like a republican? Maybe, no. I'm not sure.

Re: Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn’t love America

Obama should have owned that. At any rate, unlike Scott Walker, Obama wasn't in the room.
How do you know that?
No comparison. Btw, what's so difficult in Walker saying, hey, it was stupid, Obama loves his country?
Why should he have to do what haters like you want him to do? Its not like it would make any difference in your mind. Its just manufactured outrage against a man you cant touch on an intellectual basis. So you resort to resort to this sort of nonsense.

You can't find a comparison to Walker, who, in your opinion, should comment about something someone else said while he was was in a room, to something Jemimah Wright said that was really, really stupid while Obama was a member of his congregation for 20 years?

Walker is obliged to comment on another person's words but Obama wasn't?

That's beyond absurd.

Honestly, it's better if he holds his tongue, and refuses comment. Everybody knows that Obama wasn't at the Rev's church when this was declared.

Do you read what you quote? What's in my first five words? As I told another poster, makes me no difference if Walker puts some distance between himself and the idiotic.

Ok, everybody important, sorry, geez..

Obviously, I not important enough to know. Want to let me in on how all the important people know?

Yet you are the one continually tying Walker to these comments.

I like how he is trying to downplay what he said, and argue nobody can call him racist because Obama's mom was white... :doh

He was obviously trying to appeal to the racist elements of the right wing. It roughly translates to "he wasn't born here, he is a Kenyan, Muslim, socialist trying to destroy America from the inside-out."

“I do not believe, and I know this is a horrible thing to say, but I do not believe that the president loves America,” Giuliani said during the dinner at the 21 Club, a former Prohibition-era speakeasy in midtown Manhattan. “He doesn’t love you. And he doesn’t love me. He wasn’t brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up through love of this country.”

Seems to me he's got no other office to run for so he can say any idiotic thing he wants. But Scott Walker was in the room, and he would like to be the next president, lol. Why people think they can say **** like this when they're in private meetings in a day when everyone has a phone with audio and video capabilities.

Re: Giuliani, what a freak

It's the classic fascistic notion of the partisans.

"You don't believe as I do, therefore you don't love this country".

Actually, as I understand it, it's more along the lines of "If you want to fundamentally transform something, you must not like it the way it is" and "If you aren't proud of your country, that suggests you probably don't love it". If you think that America is a bunch of people who feel justified in their ignorance, clinging to their boom sticks and their sky-god, well, that doesn't suggest that you love it so much as it suggests you look down on it.

Well sure, of course that's what he was doing. And Walkers reluctance to put any distance between himself and it, means he values those racist Giuliani votes as well.

It was a joke man, Obama said he wasn't there.

Hilarious. Obama claims he wasn't there? How convenient. Of course, you believe him.
