    Article I, Section 8, Clause 7 of the United States Constitution, known as the Postal Clause or the Postal Power, empowers Congress "To establish Post Offices and post Roads"

    Unless the Constitution is changed, which will never happen, the USPS can not be eliminated. Congress can't agree on simple cost cutting measures like eliminating Saturday deliveries let alone changing the Constitution and eliminating the USPS.
