Because states might have an annual budget surplus, that does not mean the state doesnt have debt.

Remember the Clinton administration? By intelligently working with the republicans in congress and imposing reforms and spending controls, Clinton was able to sign the budget, passed by the GOP congress, which resulted in an annual surplus. but while touting aa budget SURPLUS, we were in fact in debt, with the debt increasing from 4.065 trillion when he took office to 5.674 trillion when he left office in 2000. Yes...even with a budget 'surplus'. Bush went from 5.674 trillion to 10 trillion. Obama has taken us from 10 trillion to 18 trillion.

Walkers record deserves scrutiny. Scrutiny does not mean a bunch of drive by gotcha hit pieces that mindless morons can regurgitate without understanding.
The point is a surplus should have been paid toward debt payments and not used to hand back to people while adding interest payments to your borrowing. It was not necessary nor fiscal.

    Thats a good yahoo, son.

The point is, you hate Scott Walker and are going to continue to spend the next 2 years looking for nits to pick at (as long as he is a contender). You will also spend that 2 years completely ignoring the flaws in his opposition candidate.

Again...do you know the first thing about states fiscal policies and what their LAWS say they must do with annual budget surplus'?

This is the champion of fiscal conservatism and responsible governance? Oh My. Defaulting on a payment, costing the taxpayers' kids more in the future. This is my complete lack of surprise.
Maybe if he just cut taxes some more?
So, you're complaining about what the feds do every year?

Using Ad Hominem and then making up a strawman is not really a good debate tactic.

btw, there is no law that says a governor must give revenue back to the tax payers and borrow instead.

There's also no law that says a governor must pay back debt rather than give the taxpayers a break in their property taxes.

This is almost as silly as the chatter about Walker refusing to answer the gotcha evolution question.

Never said there was a law for him to do either. I simply said he is not acting fiscal when he gives back revenue to borrow and then has to pay extra on interest payments while adding to the debt.

That's your opinion. Good thing for the rest of us that you don't have any control over our tax money.

Debt is okay with you even if you have revenue to pay some off?

Which is it? First you wanted a "rainy day fund" now you want advanced paying down of debt. What you really want, if you were being truthful is increased taxes. The fact he lowered taxes really frosts you.

Fiscal conservatives can do either. What they don't do is borrow and add interest onto more debt after giving revenue back to appease those who put them into office.
