The idiocy of that is that it only looks at one side of the equation, it ignores the FACT that tax revenues went UP to historically high levels.

missing a payment and restructuring the terms of your debt because you can't (or choose not to) pay isn't defaulting?
news to me, we had a giant national hissyfit over this a few years ago that resulted in the US credit being downgraded. Or maybe you conveniently forgot about that?

if there's another more accurate term *mods feel free to change the wording instead of default in the OP*

I can admit if I'm wrong, but that's how I've always understood the word to mean.

Neither took place, but that doesn't stop them from posting. At no place is the fact this practice of deferring is within the governors authority, has been going on in Wisconsin since 2001, and was done by the previous Democrat Governor despite the high taxes that were in place.

What we seen here is nothing but the Progressive Machine media blitz to attack every potential non-Liberal/Progressive candidate they can dream of. The grubbers are just the lap dogs that gladly spread the lies because I guess they think it makes them look important and informed.

I am struck by the level of fear.....

Mention a possible candidate and very quickly we will have over a hundred posts attacking that person's character. That's fear.

To me, it is like the insecure boyfriend always putting down any other man in his girlfriend's life, fear that she might see his faults though a comparison. They have nothing to offer and feel it, when was the last time we saw a thread started by the left hailing the virtues of Hillary Clinton as president? Who do they have if not her?

In that cauldron of mist, they have nothing to give them warm and fuzzies.....so any possible candidate must be attacked with everything they have...

But it is incredibly stupid. First, they telegraph they're own plan and allow the other side time to counter and, two, it creates the idea in the minds of the undecided that they really have nothing to offer, like walking onto a used car lot and before they tell you about the cars they have, they tell you all about how the other guys are cheats.

Hmmmm, maybe I missed a post but I saw nothing attacking his character. No one called him a womanizer, baby beater, terrorist, etc.....The thread basically shows how he is not a "fiscal" conservative.

This thread shows no such thing.

Sure it does. He is borrowing instead of saving for a rainy day. That is not fiscal.

Agreed. Try this, I did the other day. Google "Hilary Clinton 2016". Check the hits. Then do the same for Walker, Carson, and anyone else that might have hinted, or perhaps the left has invented, to be a candidate. The results are rather stunning.

You're correct, after Hilary, there doesn't seem to be anyone left in the room. Time will tell.

He is suggesting borrowing to invest in infrastructure - entirely conservative and good management.

He is suggesting deferring a debt payment in order to avoid tax increases that could suppress economic activity in the State - also entirely conservative and good management.

Fiscal conservatives would rather let citizens keep their hard earned money so they can "save for a rainy day" - governments should fund to operational necessity and infrastructure maintenance, period.
