Libya’s Islamist militia strike from the sky

You should be instead of making up strawmen.

What year do you think it is? Bush is the strawman. Do you need me to explain why it's a strawman or do you just like trying to draw others into debating logical fallacies?

How about you explain why the WH cannot utter the two words the left whines about is a Fox meme.

I was glad that Bush finally stopped using the language, and I'm glad that Obama won't. So why would I criticise the WH on this. Obviously, you do have two sets of standards.

Obviously you want to create and knock down your own strawman argument. You seem to have done just that. Congratulations!
I'm happy you are glad the WH cannot name their enemy, perhaps, it's because they are NOT an enemy at all.

They will soon be fighting off their own Islamic terrorists so I suspect they're saving bullets for then.

What I'd like to know is what happens when ISIS hits the Saudi frontier?

:)

This past week, a commander and two guards on the Saudi-Iraq border were killed during an attack by Islamic State militants, the first direct ground assault by the group on the border. "It is the first attack by Islamic State itself against Saudi Arabia and is a clear message after Saudi Arabia entered the international coalition against it," Mustafa Alani, an Iraqi security analyst with close ties to Saudi Arabia's interior ministry, told Reuters.....snip~

Saudi border guards get shoot on sight orders....

Saudi border guards have been given orders to shoot infiltrators on sight after three troopers were killed on the Iraqi frontier earlier this month, a spokesman said on Monday. The orders apply to guards patrolling the southern border with Yemen as well as the northern frontier with Iraq, Major General Mohammed al-Ghamdi told AFP.

"After that, we will not negotiate with anyone," Ghamdi said. "We will shoot them directly without any warning, without any negotiation." The shoot on sight order also applies to the southern border with Yemen, where Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula has established a major presence amid deepening instability.....snip~

If ISIS strikes SA, they will be in a tight spot. They would want to attack with extreme prejudice, but its also the birthplace of wahhabism and certainly not new to terrorism-they might risk the locals being sympathetic.

Id think they very much want to defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria now.

Lets see how well that wall works, Id expect them to find ways past it.

I've pointed out regularly that this White House policies have been beneficial to the Islamic State and other terrorist organisations, so I don't get your point on that. And if you won't criticise Bush, for doing the same thing that you're criticising Obama for, then you're a hypocrite.

Bush hasn't been President for 7 years and frankly, their use of language doesn't apply because as I've already pointed out, it's your strawman - and because I won't address your strawman doesn't make me anything except smarter than you. I can't make my point any plainer than I already have now, twice, so please go back and read it about the WH language issue. Hopefully with repetition it'll dawn on you at some point.

That the WH cannot name their enemy is precious and continues to be, and to that point, it maybe that the WH just sees ISIS as a rag tag JV team of ruffians / hooligans who need to be arrested and read miranda rights. Don't put them in Gitmo though... oh no. A good spanking and to bed with no dinner for them!

It doesn't matter how many years distant it is that Bush did the same thing that you're now criticising Obama for, and that's pathetically hypocritical, and I'll be pointing that out every time I see it.

Looks good I wonder if there are any border crossings with Iraq? Perhaps they are closed since ISIS?

Yeah there is.....and the Saud are in control of it. I was told its like a no mans land. Iraqis on one side the Saud on the other. Well Until the Iraqis ran off. Then the Saud took control.

It matters because it's a logical fallacy you're the only one talking about. Bush is not President. ISIS didn't exist in 2007, so it's not only logical fallacy it's also irrelevant.

Me too. :3oops:

Lol. I probably have less of an excuse then you. I was raised in California when he was governor. But you know what, Reagan use to hold a lot of progressive positions, and implemented some as governor. But maybe he got high jacked by the neocon crowd or something in DC.

Yes, the Islamic State did exist in 2007, they just hadn't adopted the name yet. The ambition for a caliphate state is old. Now, due to decades of failed US policy, they got themselves one. The reason that Bush stopped using the language that you insist Obama use, is that it was brought to his attention that it was inadvertently encouraging terrorists, and legitimising them. Is that what you support, is that what you want Obama to do, hmm? Stop being a hypocrite about this.

Then according to your logic the Islamic State has existed since the 5th century, post Muhammad's death.

Yes I support calling an enemy by their name - don't care if that legitimizes them or not. If they are Islamic Terrorists - that's what you call them. If they are Neo-Nazi's that's what you call them.

Stop using strawmen ... that will solve your misinformed hypocrisy notion.

Thee Islamic State has likely been established, and broken many times. Anyway, it's not a strawman, its literal hypocrisy to criticise Obama for doing what Bush did, without criticising Bush for doing it too! Yes, this is classic, not quasi, hypocrisy.

It is a strawman since you're the only one talking about Bush - as I've already stated it's logical fallacy and irrelevant.

Go ahead have the last word since I'm just repeating myself to someone who either cannot or will not listen. Have a nice night.

Ok, you stay warm now.

A disconnect?

WTF?

Militia cannot be terrorist? And based on a six word headline?

Look, the prime minister of Britain this week called them "Islamic Terrorists", as has the president of France, and Canada's Stephen Harper, all of whom are far more qualified to lead than Obama on his best day. I call them Islamic Terrorists along with **** offs and misfits, murderous scum, and deranged Islamists.

I am going to continue to call them that as will, I suspect the more honest world leaders and much of the rest of the world.

You and Obama are simply going to have to accept that ans quit whining.

A real leader would be assuring the American people that one day and soon, you will not be losing anymore instead of creating straw men over what to call slithering misfits and sub humans who are hacking the heads off babies and burning people alive in the name of alah.

FFS, I thought progressives valued human life. Not from what we see here. It's all about image and labels, and Obama, of course. It always must be about Obama. he sees to that

Jesus man do you always have to straw man. I never said militias cannot be terrorists. His simply jumping to that conclusion with absolutely no evidence.

Are you serious...

Deal with the absurdity of disconnect..

It is one thing to continue to project your **** on others ..but quite another to defend that position which you clearly have not done. Making more amateur accusations is boring....

Have a good day

And a fine day to you too sir strawman.

Yes, this act is wearing a bit thin.

Thick or thin, the Bush administration amended its language to look much like Obama's today. So, I don't care if some schmuck in Costa Rica doesn't like it.
