ISIS reportedly burns 45 people alive

There you have it. Lets set this one out and push for that local solution.

Wish that we could Monte.....but you know how BO peep and the lost sheep just haven't been all up front about what is taking place with these guys. Moreover even both sides of their divide acknowledge it will take more than just themselves to deal with this Infection.

Reading this thread is just a stark reminder about how utterly stupid a lot of our conservatives are regarding the realities of how the Middle East works or how terrorism works. I'd link the posts, but I'd get gigged for doing it. I might anyway.

Actually after reading all you put up in here it shows EXACTLY how much you don't know and why you always use those BS and weakass left talking Points. Just to utter some comments to those Conservatives. Thinking you actually knew something.

You don't and didn't.

Now what Part about 3 different Terrorist Organizations declaring War on us and our People.....confuses that grey matter sitting on those shoulders. Yeah thats what I thought. You got nothing.....your usual. What happened, your hackin just can't make the grade.

The crusade card works very well in a poor uneducated and highly impressionable population like that of the Middle East. Right now it is Muslim on Muslim action but being able to switch it to a Christian vs Muslim battle is the classic.. the enemy of my enemy is my friend scenario. It is exactly what ISIS wants to do....the crusades is a very powerful narrative in the region but of course American Christian Conservatives would ignore such a thing.. they want war just like ISIS wants.

So, the terrorists are real Muslims?

Mkay.

I know.....way to much for you to handle. This isn't surprising. But at least, NOW all others here know that special place of yours.

You have yet to post anything resembling a rational thought.

I watched The Factor today and O'Reilly the opening propaganda comedy was called Holy War. :) It seemed like something from a dystopian movie or something. Most westerners are not christian even if they 'self identify' as that. You Americans sound like lunatics with this holy war nonsense. It will backfire on america all this holy war propaganda. Places like Australia New Zealand and most of Europe are not as stupid as American society is. This holy war stuff is ridiculous and makes america look like clowns. Imagine a rational European seeing O'Reillys Holy War propaganda bit. You people are utterly ridiculous. Multiculturalism has worked in places like Europe and Australia. There is strength in diversity and American holy war propaganda is ridiculous and makes America look like a lunatic nation not a leader.

What will ISIS do next? I predict that ISIS will need to do a lot more than burn 50 Iraqis to get the worlds attention.

Didn't they already kill babies early on? And crucifixion? They seem to be going backwards. I do not think the world is very shocked by ISIS. Al Queda knocked down the twin towers also. So IS is really not particularly shocking is what it seems. The global community are unmoved. Where is this great global coalition that America claimed it would lead? It does not exist. If the world can't get behind US on this then what does that say about US leadership? Nothing good.

I totally agree with you and can't explain the stupidity of this nonsense.

Yeah it matches all your so called contribution to this thread. Which really wasn't any. Your Norm around here.

You mean they didn't read it somewhere, it's due to our politicians?

You didn't think he would provide a link or anything to back up the **** he says.....do you?

A little freaky knowing we are so close to being pulled in. Al-Asad is HUGE! I wonder how many are there to defend it. Tons of buildings, surrounded by fields. Big airstrip. I would pull the US presence off that base now. It did not have a good amount of roads in and out of the base. I would hate for those guys to get stuck there.

What? That's seriously what you got from my comment? Most of the people who get involved with ISIS can barely read in the first place.

OK, I'll ask these two questions:

1. Do pretty much all of our politicians invoke the name of God in anything they do? This is a yes or no question.

2. Do the people who run ISIS have TV, and can they show this to their people to try to prove that this is a religious war, even through selective editing and misleading video? And do they have a vested interest in doing so? Again, yes or no questions. Try not to hurt yourself.

Please source that bolded part.

Mornin Blue State. :2wave: To late now.....ISIS started an offensive last night. Around 15-18hrs ago. They are moving towards Irbil. The Kurds Capital.....if they break thru the Kurds line. There is nothing in between them and our people. That's where we have a lot of our people. Including those we have moved around from inside Iraq.

The Kurds have already started calling back forces they had moving towards Mosul.

One thing is for certain.....if they break thru and end up killing a bunch of Americans. BO peep's term won't last the next 2 years.

According to the Iraqi ambassador to the UN, ISIS removed the internal organs before incinerating the victims. Apparently, ISIS is expanding into organ harvesting.

Do you have a link to that?

Do you really think that the beheadings were unique? ISIS has been doing that to their captives and others for many many months.. it is nothing new. But they are using non-Muslims in a PR campaign to provoke the west in doing something stupid like sending in troops. They want a religious war between Christians and Muslims, and nothing helps that along as Christian soldiers on the ground fighting so called Muslims.

I don't see how anyone objectively observing the ISIS situation can't understand this. They are clearly going after targets that will tug at American and European heartstrings. They desperately want a war with the West.

Of course, all the hacks can see is "DURRR OBAMA WEAK" for not turning the entire ME into a crater, but whatever. They should (and thankfully are) being ignored.

Exactly. While I'm doing some serious head scratching about the Obama administration's reluctance to call a spade a spade, they are doing the right thing by not responding to ISIS' provocations. As far as I'm concerned the West should not be sending in ground troops under the current circumstances. That is the job of the surrounding nations. If they can't be bothered to do so, that is their problem, not ours. Right now it seems to me that they aren't too bothered with ISIS either. Air strikes are as far as everyone is willing to go.

Morning.

The proximity of Al-Asad to Baghdad is only a half an hour. There is not much in between the two. There use to be a basic training base in between the two, but I am not sure if that is still there.

What ISIS Really Wants - The Atlantic

About 5 hrs ago.....the Iraqis reported that ISIS was moving on Erbil from several different directions. The Kurds also reported they were coming at them in different directions. The Kurds have engaged and they said our Air Power couldn't be used due to how close both are in the fighting.

This is a military offensive to.....some think to force the diverting of forces away from Mosul.

I know fully well what ISIS wants.. power and more power. It has absolutely nothing to do with religion but the ability to dominate others. That is why they are raping and murdering across the middle east, to sow fear in the population because fear is the best way to control populations.

But lets look at the things that ISIS does.

Rape.. why? Because raping is much easier than getting a real woman and convincing them to marry you. What is the type of ISIS fighter, especially from the west? Isolated, lonely impressionable young men. And as a bonus, in this culture (and our own 100+ years ago), rape was considered sinful to the rape victim and they became unclean and their children were considered unclean as well by the clan of which the mother was. It was a way to dilute and minimize the growth of opposition clans. Why the hell do you think that women were often targeted and protected fiercely during wars? .. they make new warriors and if you can prevent that and at the same time shame the opposition.. win win.

Slavery.. why? Cheaper, and if some happen to die then they can always be replaced.

Mass executions.. why? Easiest way to get rid of political opponents and their followers. This is how it has been done for millenniums across the face of the planet. In China, when an kingdom fell, the soldiers were executed along with all the political class.. so they could not oppose the new government. Why did the Bolsheveks kill the Czar and his family? To make sure that they would not return. The list goes on.

And then there is the goodie but old one.. the ability of human beings to like inflicting pain on others for pleasure. There is a lot of that going on in the ranks if ISIS... they simply like it... from burning ants or torturing animals as a kid to burning alive a person.. it does not take much to go all the way.

If you think that ISIS is religious.. then you dont understand the situation. You do realize that iPhones are being sold in the crate wise to ISIS controlled areas right along with tons of other luxuaries like Redbull and what not.

Right now from Radio, CNN, and a few overseas sources. A few Israeli and Al J.

Last I have is the Kurds pushed back about an hour ago South of Erbil. From the Lebanon Daily Star.

Kurdish peshmerga forces have repulsed a major attack by ISIS southwest of Iraqi Kurdistan's capital Irbil, officials said Wednesday. "The attack which was launched at 8:00 p.m. was foiled. It lasted four hours and we killed 34 IS[ISIS] members," Sirwan Barzani, the local peshmerga commander, told AFP.

He said around 300 jihadis had attacked the villages of Sultan Abdallah and Tal al-Rim, between the towns of Gweyr and Makhmur, an area about 40 kilometers southwest of Irbil. "Daesh [ISIS] was not able to use heavy military vehicles or car bombs due to trenches dug out by peshmerga on the front lines," said Barzani, also the nephew of Kurdish leader Massud Barzani.....snip~

Sounds to me like they all need killin'.
