As far as holding them back once they are committed, do you see any precedence for that? Just because he is hesitant to put American lives on the line doesn't mean he won't support them when needed.
If the enemy is taking any glee, it is a result of Obama's actions to date. Let's face it, he isn't known for putting the full force of our military into play...anywhere. And, as far as precedence for Obama holding our forces back...well, can you say Libya?

So..."no boots on the ground", eh? Sounds like Obama is having a change of heart. Or maybe he's trying to scare ISIS a bit. I don't know, but I don't think those radical Islamists are the type to scare easily.

In any event, if Obama decides to send these guys into combat, I hope to god he doesn't hold them back. These guys will kick ass and take names if he lets them.
Who really ever doubted that we'd have both feet back in eventually? In fact, we've never stopped being operational in the region in one form or another.

I love the modern day of leaks in real time.

Over the weekend, a classified assessment of terrorism trends by U.S. intelligence agencies called the National Intelligence Estimate was leaked to the news media. In response, the Bush administration released additional material.

As more and more of the document has become unclassified, it has become clear that the intelligence community in this country has a stark assessment of the war in Iraq; namely, that the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq has spawned a new generation of Islamic radicalism and that the overall terrorist threat has grown since the al-Qaida attacks of September 11, 2001.

Libya was a rounding success. A tyrant eliminated, full cooperation of NATO partners, and no causualties. Just like Clinton in Kosovo.

Now if you think we needed boots on the ground and occupation you're on your own. I see no reason we need our troops in that ****hole of a country.

And don't even start the Bengazi B.S. A republican panel found nothing. End of story.

We have a president that uses his head for a change and doesn't go charging in using our troops like cheap french whores fighting other people's battles.

And you keep forgetting the American public is war wary. Hell I bet the guys that got deployed 4 or 5 times to Iraq and Afghanistan are too! i know some damn good soldiers that didn't reenlist. They said enough is enough! I wanna stay married and see my kids grow up!

Well OBL was probably taking glee up into the end when he realzed his home had been breached and it was time to take out the mother****er. That was not under Bush's watch. He gave up on OBL and said he didn't care.

No casualties huh, well I guess if **** heads from a ****hole don't count. Republicans liked the fact that Obama was smuggling weapons confiscated from Gaddafi's army out of the Benghazi annex via Turkey. In fact they wanted and still want him to do more. They're not going to be finding anything wrong at Benghazi, but bet your bottom dollar there will be those using it in the election cycle, and be just as certain that LIV will lap it up.

A brigade combat team is a combined are unit. It's organized for battle: infantry, cavalry, armor, artillery and the support arms.

We're unpatriotic and hate the troops if we criticize Obama?
