We need to get past stupid distinctions that have nothing to do with a politician's ability to do their job and move onto more meaningful things... anyone know what her beliefs are on evolution?

I see. So when you go to a restaurant and say "I'd like a coke" and the server says "We have pepsi products," you storm out of the building in a huff, right?

That would be much more relevant if an evolution-related education policy came up. Good idea! Let's look into that.

America's prudish yet obsessive interest in other people's sex lives is irrelevant to my existence.

It's not so much an obsession with other people's sex lives as peoples obsession to tell the world what they like to do with their genitalia.

Of course. He only does it because hates god and Jesus and America. He'll outlaw Christianity any minute and impressionable children will become gay because of his example.

Does It Matter That Oregon's New Governor Is Bisexual? - Bloomberg Politics
On Friday afternoon, Gov. John Kitzhaber of Oregon resigned, and the Oregon secretary of state Kate Brown, also a Democrat, became the state governor. In an instant, Oregon had the first openly bisexual governor in American history.

For many of Gov. Brown’s constituents, this may mean little, because she is married to a man, and has been for many years. The adjective becomes easy to explain away, then; bisexuality is often dismissed as something made up, a risqué adolescent antic, something college girls do to impress boys. Last January, Lisa Diamond, a scholar of sexual orientation, told the reporter Michael Schulman that many people feel bisexuality “is a transitional stage or a form of being in the closet,” but that in fact it’s more common than strictly same-sex attraction.
Before we get ahead of ourselves, let's just remember that this is Oregon, and not say... Alabama.

Only in that she takes a very unbalanced approach to homosexual rights. She allows her sexuality to influence her policies...
Our nation has not always lived up to its ideals, yet those ideals have never ceased to guide us. They expose our flaws, and lead us to mend them. We are the beneficiaries of the work of the generations before us and it is each generation's responsibility to continue that work. - Laura Bush
