Ceasefire agreed for eastern Ukraine after Minsk summit

If he didn't then why mention it in a debate about respective national press freedoms ?

Because the example that I gave that you responded to did not talk about reporters specifically.

Right. So the point being, the less democratic a country, the more overt the government crimes, and the more democratic the country, the more covert the government crimes. Its funny to me though the numbers of people that will take issue with that notion, only because its non partisan. If I were to claim that the Obama administration was guilty of such, no prob from the right, right? And if I were to say that of a republican administration, no problem from the left. It's when you point out BOTH, that you suddenly become an America hater, lol!

But you simply ARE an America hater and its evident with almost every post you make here !

Right! And you're one of those that keeps saying, "if you're not with us, you are against us," and blathering about patriotism and unthinking obedience to authority. You are the one with the hater and nonsensical viewpoint. Open your eyes and take a look at the real world. The bad guys are all the Central Bankers and the US Treasury gave them the US Treasury to wheel and deal and says they are "too big to fail." These people make money by ginning up wars and siphoning National patrimonies. It's a new brand of "debtors prison" on a National scale. All you have to do is get a developing/third world Nation in the debt trap and install your sipin hose and If you watch Ukraine with unbiased glasses, you will be able to observe it in real time. It's a numbers thing. The rich will get bigger numbers and the poor will get smaller numbers. The US MSM will be parroting whatever the CIA Perception Management team is proffering, ergo if that is where you get your information/news, you will be clueless. Take a good look at their recent success stories Libya, Syria, Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, Honduras, etc. In all those Nations, the poor are a lot poorer.

I hope unburdening yourself of that meandering anti capitalist rant has made you feel better about your own personal failures in life

Moving on ........

It is impossible for him to compose a post that does not mention the CIA, banks, and corporations. OCD on steroids.

One can usually tell when its the politics of envy that are a posters primary motivation. They tend to be one trick ponys

You're correct, except the forum is Debate Politics Forum and you cannot discuss politics without mentioning the owners of the politicians, don't ya' know, unless you are paid to support the status quo of whatever, eh? Make sure people don't think about these things. Your avatar is a giveaway to your activities. Opposites, don't ya' know?

Don't judge others by your own standards

Look up, you were the one making judgements on a posters personal life, because it's all you've got.

No I made judgements based on this posters input which others have pointed out too

Yes, I know that there's two Americans that agree with you.

Love the hiding behind the mask reference.

So much for diplomacy.

Debaltseve is surrounded and the rebels offered the trapped Ukraine troops a corridor out and leave their weapons behind. Apparently Poroshenko figures out those troops would be better off dead because orders from Kiev tell them to fight. If OSCE is allowed in they will be targets if the troops don't lay down their arms. Everybody knew this at the signing and Kiev is trying to this as deception to keep territory that is lost. Obviously, it is not going to work, just get 5-10,000 Kiev troops killed.

In reality there is open criticism of Putin in the press in Russia. As such I don't agree with this conclusion. Of course it is constrained and while I don't know for sure, my guess it is more constrained than the U.S. That said Russia does not spend the kind of money in the U.S. that the U.S. spends in Russia on critics of the government.

I'm a big fan of ***** Riot!

The name is interesting. I don't know what they are about, but whatever it is, I hope it is about eradicating the deep seated malice that has gripped the minds of the people of this planet.

The Minsk II ceasefire went into effect on 00.01 am (EET) 15, February 2015. There were no exceptions to the ceasefire in the Minsk II Accord.

As I've posted previously, and you've simply ignored because it doesn't suit your pro-Russia agenda. Once again...

Ukraine rebels disavow ceasefire at encircled town

Reuters
15 February 2015

Ukraine's rebels disavowed a new truce on Sunday hours after it took effect, saying it did not apply to the town where most fighting has taken place in recent weeks. Pro-Russian rebels announced they would not observe the truce at Debaltseve, where Ukrainian army forces were encircled and Kiev military said rebel attacks on the town steadily increased from mid-afternoon on Sunday.

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, responsible for monitoring the ceasefire, said rebels had denied its observers access to Debaltseve.

Not only have the rebels ignored the ceasefire at Debaltseve in violation of Minsk II, but they have also denied the OSCE (international monitors) access to Debaltseve which is also a violation of Minsk II.

Ukraine troops retreat from key town of Debaltseve

Petro Poroshenko said 80% of Ukraine's troops left on Wednesday morning, with more to follow. Fighting has raged over the transport hub, with pro-Russian rebels seizing control of most areas, despite a ceasefire deal. "This morning the Ukrainian armed forces together with the National Guard completed an operation for a planned and organised withdrawal from Debaltseve," the Ukrainian president said in a statement before travelling to the front-line in the east. "As of now we can say that 80% of our units have left," he said. "We are expecting another two columns (to leave)."

Meanwhile a spokesman for Mrs Merkel condemned the rebel action in Debaltseve, saying it was a clear violation of the truce but that it was too early to determine whether that had failed. International observers monitoring the truce have been unable to enter the town. It has become a key prize for rebels and government forces, as it sits on a strategic railway line linking rebel-held Donetsk and Luhansk.

What is the next strategic city that the rebels will claim the Minsk II total ceasefire doesn't apply to? Kramatorsk? Mariupol? Tactically, the military decision to withdraw government forces from Debaltseve is sound and prevents a repeat of the massacre at Illovaysk last August.

The political ramifications of Debaltseve are potentially huge. German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande were utter fools to trust Putin and his rebels.

Close. They are a all female rock band who speaks out against the Russian government. They are known for doing a protest concert in a church and for a some of their members being arrested under the charge of hooliganism.
