He chose not to get into a question and answer period with the press while addressing an audience for commerce. Period. But give people that hate republicans beyond reason...any excuse will do.[/QUOTE]

OK So that was another "gotcha" question like Sarah's "what do you read". LOL

What does evolution have to do with foreign policy?

Why would a governor answer a question about foreign policy when we have a President who is in charge of that?

So why was the governor in Britain talking to foreign leaders? Last month it was Christie, this month it's Walker.

We are all pretending that Walker was there only because of trade.

I agree. Scott Walker's non-answer is akin to a weakling, totally unprepared for the highest office in America.

While Walker's religious convictions don't bother me. As far as I know he has not made an attempt to include religion in Wisconsin's government. I believe in the separation of church and state.

Addressing the other part of the OP, it doesn't surprise me that Walker did not want to address foreign policy because to my knowledge Walker has no experience in foreign policy and as far as I can tell no substantive ideas regarding foreign policy. Here again Walker should have known that UK, our strongest ally, would be curious as to how this presumed GOP presidential candidate would respond to a few questions relating to how a Walker in the White House might affect the lives of people in the UK. Or did Walker believe the public forum in London was to address questions about cheese?

You really don't know that states and city leaders often go on junkets to try to drum up business back home? You must only be paying attention when it is someone "prominent".

Perhaps you didn't notice your own governor has made such trips: Utah Local News - Salt Lake City News, Sports, Archive - The Salt Lake Tribune

We don't want the answer to our problems to be "its out of our hands, let God take care of it". As Gov. Perry has been known to do on occasion.
If someone believes in God spiritually it doesn't necessarily mean that it 'taints every aspect of your world view in a distorted and false way.' I think this to be a incorrect assertion. There are scientists that believe in God, and also believe in Evolution, so your assertion appears to be demonstrated as false.

I'll wager that there are quite a number of Christian believers that are performing well in their elected offices, and other roles. How far has the founder and CEO of Hobby Lobby gone? Further than you, I'd wager. No, I think that spiritual beliefs don't really have very much influence in professional life and ability to perform in a particular role.

I also notice that you've not mentioned exactly how you imagine this to have impact in someone's job performance. Yeah, you've done little more than heap yet more derision on beliefs that you don't share in the form of some abstractions and vague accusations and assertions, and hence feel perfectly justified in criticizing, but you've not demonstrated a basis for this criticism nor a justification for such.

I fail to see how acknowledging and accepting Evolution or not, either strengthens or weakens any particular person from doing any particular job, should they have the ability to do that job in the first place.

If you are criticizing Governor Perry on this point, fine. That doesn't mean this immediately translates to all others. That's too broad a brush you are painting with there.

There are so many other substantial things that are unattractive about Walker. It is stupid to focus on such a trivial matter. Typical partisan politics in the U.S.

The only things " substantial " for the left to complain about are issues like these.

Thats because Walker has been a highy successful Governor and has turned his States dire financial straits around.
