That does not make it a illegitimate issue to discuss about a potential Presidential candidate. In fact it would be in the forefront because it leaves doubt about his mental abilities.

Anyone who wasn't going to vote for him is still not going to vote for him. Anyone who really supported him is still going to support him. This is pretty much a non-issue unless we expect a lot of people to list "the candidate's opinion on how closely related we are to apes" as the number one issue they voted on.

Let the people who vote decide that. If you don't want to vote for him, you don't have to. But if you want to declare him mentally incompetent, I would encourage you to let us know how that attack on him works out.

I've never voted for a Democrat before for President. I voted for Bush, McCain, and Romney. I will not vote for Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, Rick Perry, or any of that tier of candidates. My considered list of candidates has always been Bush, Christie, Rubio, Ryan, and maybe Walker but this sort of pandering or genuine belief in nonsense is precisely what I've been afraid of. If you do not believe in evolution in 2016 you will not be getting my vote--sorry if that makes me a RINO. At the end of the day self-described arch conservatives will line up behind anyone who isn't Hillary Clinton, the same cant be said for the rest of us.

The British audience groaned and also laughed at Walker. The moderator says "Oh REALLY??? ANY British politician, right or left, would laugh and say 'yes of course evolution is true.'"

Thanks Scott, for demonstrating to the world how backward and superstitious one of America's two great political parties are.
The correct term of the theory that is broadly accepted is punctuated equilibrium. Darwin's theory of gradualism isn't accepted by mainstream science.

I think Walker just kissed his chance for the nomination, goodbye.

he is one of the frontrunners

"Both science and my faith dictate my belief that we are created by God," Walker said in the statement. "I believe faith and science are compatible, and go hand in hand."

sounds like he does believe in science.....

    and also God.....

nothing wrong with that in my book

A man running for public office should not be unable to think. I would hope any intelligent person would feel such a handicap as this would make him unfit for office regardless of what they thought of his political beliefs.

Re: Scott Walker side steps foreign policy questions on UK trip

This thread reeks of partisan hand-wringing over much-to-do-about-nothing.

Scott Walker is an accomplished Governor and certainly worthy of consideration during the upcoming primaries... well, the primaries that happen in about a year. This particular incident will long be forgotten by then and is a non-issue anyway.

Sounds wishy washy to me. In fact, it sounds like he doesn't want people to know what he really believes.
