Charges dismissed in Arizona Iced Tea arrest outside Fayetteville liquor store

Irrelevant.
A person confronted on the streets only has to verbally ID their self when asked by police.
When engaged in an activity that requires a license, such as driving, you must produce the license when requested.

As this happened on the streets (so to say) the officer performed both verbal and flashed his badge.
Which is sufficient.

Which has absolutely nothing to do with ID'ing your self for such an activity like voting.

The police have no business busting in unless they have reason to believe a law is being broken. What law was this person breaking, and why would the officer go ahead with an arrest when it became clear no law was broken?

Stick to the arguments I made.

That is the argument you made. You argued that the cop had no obligation to show he was an officer, but that the person was wrong for not complying with his demands.

Doesn't matter what you can fully see or not.
It was shown and they clearly understood they were dealing with a cop.

So you would teach your family members to submit to a cop who behaved like that.

You are engaged in exaggeration. Just stop. they clearly knew they were dealing with a cop.

no, they took him at face value and accepted that he was a cop. that was thier mistake.

How so? I was a city kid, I don't fall for claims by random strangers.

Alright, this was unconstitutional... now what? Can we get to the bottom of why a guy dressed in normal clothes can arrest you just by saying he is a cop? If he had punched this guy out, would he have been defending himself or assaulting an officer? Is saying that he's an officer all it takes for someone to simply do as he says?

Punishment for wrong doings by cops rarely happens.

So you would teach your family members to submit to a cop who behaved like that.

Irrelevant to the fact that you made a false claim.
He ID'd himself and later showed his badge to them.

End of story. In regards to that specific claim you were wrong.
Get over it.

Yes you were engaged in exaggeration. You wouldn't have beat anybody down.

That is the argument you made. You argued that the cop had no obligation to show he was an officer, but that the person was wrong for not complying with his demands.
:doh
:lamo
You might want to quote what I actually said, as what I said and what you think I said are two different things.

Busting in? Wtf are you talking about? :doh

The rest is irrelevant to the argument I made and are engaged in. Do you really not know that? :doh D'oh!

Verbally ID'ing oneself is ID'ing your self.

Bwahahahaha!!! Try that next time a cop asks to see your ID.

"No I did officer, I flashed it, was that too fast? Sorry, some guy on the internet said thats okay"

Bend over more for the police state, please.

You lack of knowledge is showing.
On the street, when you are asked for ID by police, all that is required is a verbal response.

I do not care what you think of it, that is all that is required.

I see you do not understand what is relevant. What a shame.
Again.
Irrelevant to the fact that you made a false claim.
He ID'd himself and later showed his badge to them.

End of story. In regards to that specific claim you were wrong.
Get over it.

Your false claim is what the argument was over. You were proven wrong.
He did ID himself and he did shown his badge.
There is no other argument between us and I am not engaging in any.
So try as you may to go off on a tangent, I will not be engaging you in it.
Or do you not understand that?

you don't answer because you know I am right, and if I am right and it would not be a good idea to have a family member go with a man who behaved like this, it throws out your own arguments....

I accept the concession.

Wrong.

I never made any statement relevant to what you ask, and it is therefore irrelevant.

Telling you it is irrelevant is not a concession. It is telling you it is irrelevant to what has been argued.
You fail to understand that so you continue asking what is irrelevant. :doh D'oh!

Sorry, but you do not get to dictate what I discuss.

The argument was about your false claim. You were wrong, as shown.
Nothing you say is gong to change that or deflect away from it.

screaming "irrelevant" does not make it so.,

**** that, if I'm doing nothing wrong, I'm not going to prostrate myself to some yahoo cop on a power trip.

Could have cost him his life, justifiable homicide.

As a CHL holder, you have to have MORE respect for cops and others with guns.

ahhh no respect. poooor wittle..... copper.... maybe they have group meeting for feelings.

I don't have to respect a cop who doesn't respect the constitution.

****, no where does it say I have to respect any government employee... Though I do as long as I get the same.

Hope you enjoy prison with that attitude.

Given your servitude and prostration to the state, I would offer that you spend every day in a prison.

Besides, tell me what are the felonies I can be charged with for being mean to a cop who's being a doosh to me?

btw this "hip-hopper" is a veteran, he was a staff sergeant in the 82nd airborne.

Then he should have known better than to interfere with the cops investigation or ignore orders.

Look I hate bad cops. I hate big government but, when placed in a position of having my ass kicked or going to jail, I'm best served cooperating and complying.

I would have got in my friggin car and left. No harm No foul...

Let's have a look at the video evidence.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gILdC7KGXw

Where's the badge first of all?

Where is probable cause?

In my book the cop does 6 months

Agreed, this was a garbage arrest. The entire confrontation was avoidable, "trespassing and resisting a public officer" is absurd. Now that the criminal case has been dismissed, I suspect a lawsuit against the officer is on the way.

Hopefully.

This guy does not deserve to be a cop

When it comes to Cop vs Joe citizen...we're already there.

Best you can do is not rock the boat when you are engaged with an officer of the law... you can't win (unless of course you like having your ass kicked and being taken to jail)
