Jordan Unleashes Wrath on ISIS

Starts bombing ISIS in Syria, after the burning alive of a Jordanian pilot, and states "This is just the beginning....."

Jordan unleashes wrath on ISIS: 'This is just the beginning' - CNN.com

I say good. Guess ISIS just pushed it's luck a bit too far with the wrong nation.

Good.

I heard King Hussain was flying a jet personally. Is that right, or just a rumor?

Dear Mr. President. Please take some notes on what real leadership looks like.

I did hear this afternoon that Obama was going to 'actually' ask Congress to commit US forces to taking out ISIS

Quite a switch from he previous position (wide down, withdraw and abandon). I guess he 'evolved' somehow.

Or maybe he's not evolved at all?

Not only disgusting, but out-and-out lies. His claim that 99.9% of Muslims don't agree with ISIS is plain wrong. Studies have shown that in Egypt, Pakistan and Afghanistan, three of our supposed "friends" in the Middle East, between 64-78% of the Muslim population is in favor of execution for anyone who leaves Islam. 99.9% disagree my ass.

I think I read an article about a Pew study that basically did demonstrate that the majority of Muslims were in favor of the Sharia law that ISIS was pushing. More troubling, they wanted to see any nation that had any Muslims adopt Sharia law, if I recall.

Reports from Amman say 30 Jordanian jets struck ISIS targets in both Syria and Iraq. King Abdullah stated that the heavy assaults will continue until ISIS is eliminated.

Thats the kind of commitment we need right about now. If only our POTUS was as strong. But we know he's not.

While I'm pleased to see Jordan's response, its a pity they didn't come to their neighbours (president Assad's) aid when the expansion of the Islamic State could have been arrested early on. President Assad has been left to battle his own war on terrorism alone all these years.

Jordan and Syria haven't exactly been the best of friends.
Jordan

He doesn't need to but it helps if all muslims don't think that we condemn them all. We want moderate muslims on our side. So he was pointing out that ISIS doesn't represent them and that we can't judge all muslims by the acts of the very worst of them by pointing out that you can't do that to Christians either.

What he said makes perfect sense to anyone who isn't looking to get pissy over a completely accurate comment.

Bujt he did not say that.

He did not say "we must remember not all are evil...." He reminded Americans in the midst of a war he is losing that THEY are bad people; his examples are the "Christian crusades" and "American slavery".

As most Americans identify as Christian he aimed a subtle attack on them...and all Americans once again that, yes, they had slavery ended before even the grandfathers of blacks were born. He did not single out communist atrocities, NAZI's or anyone else.

Now Obama is a failure, an incompetent, liar and cheat, but he is likely the greatest orator the US has seen since Lincoln. IF he only wanted to convey the message not to blame all Muslims, he would have made that very plain...he always has.

But he didn't, in a droning, holier than thou tone singled out the crusades and slavery...neither of which relate to national security or "Obama's war". coupled with the "You cannot make fun of the prophet Mohamed" scolding about the stupid Benghazi tape, I see a very died in the wool Muslim sympathizer and wonder if he really wants to be fighting a war of freedom for America at all?

FDR didn't mention the very healthy Eugenics program in the US when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.....I wonder why?

He didn't attack Christians. He pointed out that you can't judge them all based on the worst actions of some. Saying anything more than that is partisan whining.

If it's the same one, here's the study. And yes, the majority of Muslims are in favor of Sharia Law and most of them think it is not only their duty but their right to force Sharia on everyone.

If Obama spent as much time fighting the war on terror as he does defending Islam, we wouldn't be in this mess. It begs the question who's side is he on.
At least the Jordanians get it.

Spoken while you slander the American president.

Truth is a complete defense to defamation, whether it's slander or libel. When I say Mr. Obama is a habitual liar who disrespects this country and its laws, I am only stating the truth.

Get a clue here match

I'll leave it to the people who have read my posts and yours to judge whether there is anything you could clue me into.

criticising US foreign policy is my American right

Your right to run down your own country, even while choosing to live in it, is guaranteed by the First Amendment against abridgment by government. Obviously no private person has any authority to tell you not to run it down.

and I shall continue it as long as the US engages in destructive policies in the Middle East or anywhere else,

I hope you do. I always like to see Americans who loathe this country reveal their loathing to as many other Americans as possible.

and no amount of your name calling will disrupt it.

I have not called you any names, nor do I call any other posters names. I leave it to collectivist dim bulbs to address personal insults directly at particular posters, instead of just criticizing public figures or groups of anonymous people. They continually rely on these ad hominem attacks to make up for the weakness of their game. They hope that if they add enough heat to their comments, no one will notice their lack of knowledge and reasoning ability.

I respect the civility rules of this site. You should take care to do the same.

And sizable portions also support violence in the name of islam.

But you won't get liberals to agree to that, for some ridiculous reason, they think Islam is a race. Maybe that explains the stupidity of liberalism right there.

Good point, but its an even worse choice because of that...

Is he "justifying" the horrors of ISIS? Trying to mitigate them? Insulate the people a bit, tell them they need show compassion and understanding?

It is a strange way to rally support for troops whose lives are on the line, sends them a very tortured message "wait, should I drop these bombs on ISIS or am I being a crusader like the president says?"

I mean, what exactly is this soi capable communicator trying to say to the nation and the men and women fighting for it?

Who knows but, he just gave ISIS and other radical groups more ammo. They've been calling the WOT the "next crusade" for years now.

Thats why I lolz when they say anyone legitimately criticizing Islam racist. A few weeks ago a liberal tripled down on thinking afghans were "arabs" despite me providing ample evidence to the contrary.

I wonder if that means I can call them racist for criticizing Christianity?

We should be thankful that lefties from time to time let their true colors show.

He's right about atrocities committed in the name of Christianity many years ago.

He also said:

He did, however, call ISIS a “brutal, vicious death cult that in the name of religion carries out unspeakable acts of barbarism.”

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of ISIS.

Running down??? Are you running down the American president? Your attempt to stifle dissent with your false characterisation, will not prevail. Otherwise, I don't know why you're speaking in the third party at times, and at other times talking about other posters presumably, which you consider to be "collectivist dim bulbs" while attempting to enlighten me on the boards rules of civility, lol.

That smoke screen cannot disguise the very real problems with US foreign policy that you choose to justify, I'm sorry.

Why is it....

Conservatives (self described) criticize US domestic policy, and claim that criticizing foreign policy is un American.

Liberals (self described) criticize US foreign policy, and claim that criticizing domestic policy is un American.

Interesting.

How odd a 'right' to force compliance onto an populace unwilling and un-wanting. Oh wait. We've got some of those people right here in the country that do that too. :doh
