Jordan pilot hostage Moaz al-Kasasbeh 'burned alive'

Yes these world renowned troops only engaged ISIS because they drove into an attack. Otherwise they hide in the wire.

Much like your dear leader Obama... right?

God Bless our Canadien freinds..

Yes, I'm well aware of a bad US habit of ignoring international law, and the ICC.

The United States observes many international laws. It does not--and should not--observe any international law at the expense of its national security. If some one-world, America-hating commies in some foreign land think they can force this country to do anything, let them try.

Yeah ok, nice tough talk but there is no international law that compliance of would compromise our national security. Such compliance might compromise power, leverage, control or our ability to pursue the interests of American oligarchs, and the ability to exploit the natural resources of weaker nations though.

Obama and his support of Islamic extremists hasn't my support, sorry. Lol, much of US foreign policy has been imperialistic, and not just Bush's.

Give me an example of what you define as the USA "imperialistic" war to conquer rescources or land..

Oh for crying out loud, stop being so patronising. I could post you examples all day long, and continue tomorrow.

The 1954 Guatemalan coup d’état (18–27 June 1954) was a covert operation carried out by the United States Central Intelligence Agency that deposed the democratically elected President Jacobo Árbenz and ended the Guatemalan Revolution. Codenamed Operation PBSUCCESS, it installed the military regime of Carlos Castillo Armas, the first in a series of military dictators in the country.

And how is this evidence of Imperialism?

So I'll ignore for the moment the callousness and hypocrisy of your dismissive attitude of US policy that removed a democracy from power and replaced it with a right wing dictator who then brutalised the Guatemalan citizenry.

im·pe·ri·al·ism

noun
a policy of extending a country's power and influence through diplomacy or military force.

One needn't occupy a country in the same fashion as say eighteenth century Britain did to engage imperialistic behavior.

They kinda do..and to make it part of their greater country...to throw down your countries flag and take over.. a manifest destiny...

again Russia and the Ukraine is more accurate

Right, my apologies for assuming that you understood what imperialism is.

Oh I do...

next time please answer the question that you claimed to know so well...

sure.... I just dont go by the 3rd grade teachers assigment version of what Imperialism is for "half credit on the quizz".. I think most adults can separate "influencing and a coup" vs " National Imperialism"....

America does not engage in Imperialism...

If that makes 007 feel better about himself, by all means. You need to educate yourself on imperialism.

Under dictator Jorqe Ubico (1931-1944), American-owned United Fruit Company (UFC) gained control of forty-two percent of Guatemala's land, and was exempted from taxes and import duties. The three main enterprises in Guatemala -- United Fruit Company, International Railways of Central America, and Empress Electrica -- were American-owned (and controlled by United Fruit Company). Seventy-seven percent of all exports went to the US and sixty-five percent of imports came from the US.

facts are facts...

now tell me about Americas National Imperialism... what countries are we trying to annex?

You have successfully proven my point. You've refused to acknowledge the fact that you blatantly lied, and then you once again, like any keyboard warrior question service. It's okay though. I too can take things you say and twist them into lies. But I choose not to because I'm not Canadian.

Yet you use your military experience to slam those that have none. Rather hypocritical. .
As you constantly slam Members. Calling them liars and such, using a phrase from another thread, you tend to leave skid marks for what you call discussion.
No more time shall I waste on you as it detracts from the thread discussion.

He's moved to the "what the definition of "is" is" stage in this debate.

"I swear officer, when I paid him for my wife's murder I meant crows!!"

Don't know who you're quoting there but I suppose you too fail to understand the definition of imperialism.

I never use it to "slam". I use it because the stories we discuss are military related. Such as drone strikes. Obviously, my experiece would differ from yours in military related stories, as you've never deployed to a war zone.
