This is ongoing at the moment.....CNN is reporting 3 are still in the hotel and there has been, exchange of fire.


Gunmen who attacked the luxurious Corinthia Hotel in Tripoli, Libya, on Tuesday have killed at least two Libyan security personnel and injured three others, a security spokesman said. Three gunmen are still holed up in the hotel, Essam al-Naas, the spokesman for the joint security operations room for Tripoli, told CNN.

An online group that supports ISIS said online that the attack was carried out in the name of Abu Anas al-Libi. Tuesday's attack began when militants detonated a car bomb in the parking lot of the hotel.

Guests have been evacuated to safety, but it's not clear if there are additional casualties.....snip~

Yeah the MS media didn't want to headline it.....that it was ISIS Supporters. Not after they have been putting out the Narrative that ISIS suffered a defeat from the Kurds. Hence their headline playing with the terminology. Gunmen and later going with Militants.

Libya is a major disaster already happening. Another failure by BO and Hillary. ISIS gained an entire city here. So its not just Mosul and their increase inside Syria.

Not to mention we have AQ and Ansar al Sharia all operating out of here. Benghazi declared themselves an Islamic Emirate too.
 
Terror flourishes under Obama-I wonder if this will qualify as workplace violence or a manmade disaster? Hopefully no westerners are harmed.

ISIS claims car bombing outside hotel in Libya's Tripoli.....

TRIPOLI, Libya: ISIS has claimed a car bombing outside a hotel popular with foreigners in the Libyan capital, the Anadolu Agency said Tuesday. Libyan security forces are currently surrounding the hotel, believed to be engaging gunmen inside.A hotel employee told AP that there were five gunmen inside the hotel and that a guard had been killed in the attack.

It appears that they may have been going for the Prime Minister.....5 foreigners have been killed. Now there are conflicting stories as to whats going on in the Hotel. Someone is saying they blew themselves up. While another is saying fire was still being exchanged.


A Libyan security official says nine people, including five foreigners, have been killed by gunmen who stormed a luxury Tripoli hotel. As gunfire could still be heard inside the hotel, there were confused reports about the unfolding events. Other security sources claimed that the gunmen blew themselves up inside the hotel.

Meanwhile, local television reported that the prime minister of Tripoli's rival government and three foreign nationals had been evacuated from the hotel that is often used by senior officials and overseas delegations.....snip~

Huge mistake was getting rid of Kadaffi. Just another example of why interventionism doesnt work and ought to be expunged from US foreign policy.

Well, you know how they like to avoid anything that which makes BO peep look bad now. Since this happened in Libya. It was pretty much ignored. But they did manage to talk about some other shooting, huh?

Opponents of the Libya Dawn coalition routinely refer to it as a terrorist collaborator, happy to cooperate with extremists like Ansar al-Shariah, the Benghazi group linked to the killing of Ambassador Stevens, or the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL. It's good at least to know the NY Times....can actually do some reporting for a change. While showing why BO and his followers want to avoid anything they can about Libya.

Mornin' Fenton. :2wave: Well basically its due to ABC, NBC, and CBS.....not really giving any coverage while this was going on. Although they sure jumped on the bandwagon with the Incident down in Australia with that guy running into a Chocolate Shoppe.
