Netanyahu ‘spat in our face,’ White House officials said to say[W:223]

Let me say it another way: It's not relevant to this thread, take it some place else. PLEASE!
WTH? It is too relevant, all of it, because it relates to why Congress invited Netanyahu to speak in the first place and the urgency behind it. If you are not willing to discuss the why then your conversation is rather shallow. Obama is trying to garner support for his "plan" in the same manner he claims "Netanyahu spat in the face" blah blah...... by using P.M. Cameron. Just a couple of weeks ago Obama stood by as British PM Cameron announced to the world that he was lobbying U.S. senators on the same bill, only in the opposite direction.

I'm glad you got all your 7-year-old talking points in, Obama won twice.

That is a testimonial to the decline of our public schools during the last several decades.

Lest I forget, I have to tell you Neville Chamberlain was a conservative.
Camp David Accords | Egyptian-Israeli history | Encyclopedia Britannica

As used in England at that time, that term meant something quite different from its usual meaning in the U.S. today. You may know that. But whatever else you want to call British leaders of the 1930's, they were dedicated appeasers of the Nazis. At least they had the excuse that Britain's army and air force had declined during the Depression, and that Britain's loss of the better part of a million men killed in a great war, only two decades earlier, had left most people with no heart for another one.

The Liar-in-Chief doesn't have those excuses. He resents the very country he is sworn to defend and does not wish it well. He is more interested in apologizing for America's supposed transgressions than he is in advancing its interests in the world. He is the man for our times--the perfect representative for the millions of collectivist dim bulbs in the lumpenproletariat, whose "education" consists of years of classroom indoctrination in politically correct hogwash, watching Michael Moore films, and reading Mother Jones.

OK. Bibi's fishing for limelight to better his election chances. Is this a policy that spans administrations? Or is this a policy that just this administration has adopted.

This has no impact on how foolishness and stupid looking is it to make the decision to interview with the bathtub girl.

unless he does something really stupid, like provoking Obama into withholding the Palestinian statehood veto at the UN

Ahh the mystical UN Security Council report that apparently is publicly available, presented to the UNSC by the UN Panel of Experts, but no where can the report be found: http://www.debatepolitics.com/middl...nuclear-reactors-russia-4.html#post1064169445

Did you check an see if the UN compliance/Sanctions committee had a report.

Aaaaah.....and here you thought it was just something from Dec. But then lets go back to May of 2014.

UN Experts: Iran's pursuit of illicit materials appears to slow amid nuclear talks
Classified UN document seen by Reuters, however, cautions that the Islamic Republic may be 'outsmarting' intelligence agencies in its pursuit of sensitive components
.

The report said it had become increasingly difficult to pinpoint any links between "dual-use" items - those with both civilian and military applications - that Iran has sought to procure and potential recipients in the Islamic Republic. But, the report cautioned, "this may be a function of more sophisticated procurement strategies on the part of Iran, which has developed methods of concealing procurement, while expanding prohibited activities. Such methods can also be used by Iran to procure and finance legitimate trade, which further complicates the efforts of states to identify illicit procurement."

Despite the apparent dip in procurement activity, Iran has continued to try to obtain items that could play an important role in its enrichment of uranium, the report said. "Iran has been attempting to procure high-grade carbon fiber for use in the manufacturing of some of its centrifuge rotors," the experts said, adding that Tehran has also sought to procure aluminum and other dual-use materials. "Iran continues to make extensive use of front companies to procure items for prohibited activities. Some companies may be established solely for the purpose of prohibited procurement. Others may also be engaged in legitimate business.

Sometimes Iran uses legitimate enterprises to acquire key technology. The report, which includes detailed annexes, cited an example of how Iran used its petrochemical industry as a facade to procure crucial items for its heavy-water nuclear reactor at Arak, a plant that has proven to be a big sticking point in Tehran's nuclear negotiations with the powers.....snip~

Funny how FP found that Report. Seems the charge was in there already and seen by Reuters back in May. Now FP cites a document compiled by the US and told by Diplomatic Sources that there was an increase in procurement. Stating exactly what Reuters Reported.

Amazing isn't it.....and certainly BO and his Team knew all along.

Maybe we should go back and grab those 5 high level generals of AQ, since well, when he handed them over for the deserter, we were promised that they would be watched. Well, I think no one is watching them ATM, so deal off if you ask me. :)

Talk about a success Obummer could actually hang his hat on, but no, that is all wishful thinkling I suppose.

Tim-

Five high level generals of AQ eh? You shovel the same steaming pile that MMC does .

Israel's building new settlements to appease the extreme far-righties in their coalition. How's that working out for peace?

Against the policies of every GOP President since IKE .

Bout as much as lobbing rockets into Israel from Gaza, I suppose.. Gee dude, you're a special kind of liberal. ;)

Tim-

Then what were they? Administrative assistants? :)

Tim-

You called them generals--where is your proof? Or are you just another anti-Obamanite who has just landed in the BIL Zone ?

What's the matter Nimby? Affraid to acknowledge how the Palestinians responded to Israel abandoning the Gaza settlements in the name of peace?

Why nothing about Israelis defying GOP Presidents--the point of the post you quoted, Tim ?

I don't think they actually call themselves "generals", so for the sake of argument, let's say high ranking evil bad guys. ;)

Tim-

Nothing's wrong with me Grim17. Just the GOP posters on here claiming Obama is anti-Semitic and wants Iran to exterminate Jews. Do you agree with this outrageous moronic nonsense Grim ?

Israel is a sovereign nation, they don't have to listen to any American President, period!

I think, Obama would never admit this, but, I'll bet the thought has crossed his mind a few times. ;)

Tim-

I guess??? But either way, do you agree we should go back in and re-capture them, since the deal appears to be off?

A simple , yes or no will suffice.

I think, Obama would never admit this, but, I'll bet the thought has crossed his mind a few times. ;)

And your evidence of this is what exactly?

Link please. From my understanding, they assisted my providing weapons and training. Iran did not attack anyone.

Iran is the one behind the Shia.

Gulf states condemn attempted 'coup' in Yemen, back president.....

Gulf foreign ministers on Wednesday accused Shia militia in Yemen of attempting to stage a "coup" against President Abdrabuh Mansur Hadi, a day after the Huthi fighters seized the presidential palace.

"The states of the Gulf Cooperation Council consider what happened in Sanaa on Tuesday... a coup against the legitimate authority," the ministers said in a statement following an emergency meeting in Riyadh.

The GCC also expressed support for the "constitutionally legitimate authority" of Hadi, and rejected "all measures aimed at imposing change by force".....snip~

Then today.

Yemen president quits, throwing country deeper into chaos.....

"This is a coup," said Ahmed al-Fatesh, a hotel security supervisor, suggesting Hadi had been bullied from office. "The Houthis took power by force. Hadi is a legitimate president and was elected by more than 6 million Yemenis. Hadi tried to bring the political forces together."

This was a reference to a standoff between Hadi and the Shi'ite Muslim Houthi movement which this week has been holding the president a virtual prisoner in his official residence.....snip~

Your first mistake of many was making this a partisan issue. The reason Obama has P.M. Cameron lobbying the Senate is because there is a support for Israel on the left and a number of democrats that are not on board with the president and his Iran policies. As far as the hostility toward Israel that Obama brought with him into the presidency? Six years into his presidency clearly makes that case.

I'll never be accused of being a fan of Obama's but I would never expect him to be so shallow and petty as to use a perceived or real personal snub as a reason to end long standing American foreign policy. Are you just being provocative or do you really have such little regard for President Obama?

It's only clear to partisans like you so why don't you elaborate on what Obama has done in his policy towards Israel that was not the policy of previous (and Republican) administrations. If it pertains to the Iranian negotiations, what is hostile to Israel about preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons?

UN Experts: Iran's pursuit of illicit materials appears to slow amid nuclear talks
Classified UN document seen by Reuters,

This is a completely different document and topic than the first one you linked..

however, cautions that the Islamic Republic may be 'outsmarting' intelligence agencies in its pursuit of sensitive components
Key words, "may be".

Another giant "may be".

Do you know whats funny. These are two different cited supposed reports. One is about Iran "may be" using domestic production to make parts needed for a reactor and nuclear materials.... The other is about Iran going on a "international shopping spree"....

Amazing isn't it.....and certainly BO and his Team knew all along.

Amazing what? A bunch of unproven accusations? A bunch of "may be"? You also forget that Arak is under routine exceptions with the latest agreement.

No. In terms of military aid, Israel is the biggest recipient.

"Israel is the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign assistance[.]"

Thanks for this. I want to point out that an earlier poster said that Obama showed his support for Israel by giving them $3 billion in military aid - it's why I asked the question. But I find it interesting that on the first page of the document you provided, it notes that in 2007, President Bush signed a 10 year, $30 billion military aid package for Israel to run through 2018, entirely through and past the Obama two terms. In effect, Obama had nothing to do with it - unless he voted for it while he was in the Senate. It would be interesting to know if he actually voted in favour of this aid package.
