If Bibi has the election won, why is he traveling here to the US? Why is he talking to the House?

I'm thinking that there's something else afoot here, not immediately apparent to the public.

Ask yourself why has the opinion of Obama taken a huge dive in Israel? As of last year over 70% of Israeli's had an unfavorable opinion of Obama and his administration. They distrust him and do not think he has their best interest at heart.

Obama approval ratings dive in Israel on Iran and Peace Talks
If you think for one minute that Iran is going to give up its pursuance of nuclear abilities, I have a ball of dryer lint I would like to sell you.
When a government (US) unfreezes almost 12 billion dollars in assets to Iran, a country that funds several terrorist organizations whose purpose in life is to attack Israel, is a good place to start. Then add to that Kerry's peace talks between the Palestinians and Israel. That was the cherry on the sundae that made Israeli's realize Obama could not be trusted.

Now that there is a majority in Congress that have been against the actions this administration has engaged with Iran coupled with some strong support of Democrats who are also at odds with the president's policies, one can only hope that they can be stopped with a super majority. Obama seems a bit concerned. He has P.M. Cameron lobbying the senators on his behalf.
You know these days I find myself holding my breath every time Kerry is sent to represent our country somewhere in the world. "What f-ed up mess will be next?" I ask myself. There are real consequences for elections and baby are we ever feeling them. I look forward to Netanyahu's speech to the joint Congress. I'm sure it will be a show stopper and I pray it will be enough to bring about a solid bi-partisan super majority to stop Obama.

I see from this thread that nothing has changed. Too many RWers who can't tell the difference between disagreeing with Netanyahu and anti-semitism.

Why do you ask such a silly question? Didn't you read what you quoted?

Thanks for admitting that Obama has done nothing to indicate he is anti-Israel. He might have some disagreements with the Prime minister like every President before him.
Why is Netty the "visionist" about Iran's nuclear program and their intentions? Since when does he determine who we can negotiate with?

Money to help Israel DEFEND itself is morally, the right thing to do. They are completely surrounded by people who if they had their way, would wipe the Jewish people off the face of the earth. Comparing that to opposing aid to countries that are not our allies, that engage in state sponsored terrorism, that mistreat women and minorities, and wouldn't shed it tear if America was nuked off the planet, is an apples to oranges comparison at best.

I'm not kidding folks--we now have posters like 11Bravo and j-mac that believe that the POTUS is ready to let Iran exterminate the jews.

This is not the 'godwin' card--these comments are directly accusing Obama of being Hitler.

How much lower can it get on Debate Politics than to have posters accuse the POTUS of wanting to exterminate jews ?
This playing Muslims against Jews (and claiming that the President is doing nothing to defend Christians in territories held by Muslim extremists) feeds right into the "Pres. Obama is a closet Muslim" rhetoric. Only idiots believe such non-sense and, furthermore, believe that the U.S. government (Obama Administration) alone can stop Muslim extremism. It's a dual play on both your religious morality and your irrational fears.

They are annual appropriations, so they go through Congress every year. The agreement made between Bush and Olmert was for FY 2009-2018, so Obama was already President before Congress approved the first installment. Because it is eventually funded as part of a multibillion or trillion dollar spending bill, there's no real way to see if an individual Senator agrees with the funding by looking at their vote.

His name is Netanyahu not "Netty". Our own history dealing with Iran should be enough for every American to discern this is a country you can not trust. JeeeeezUS, just a few months back, do you not remember the words of the President of Iran, Amineedsastraightjacket, calling for the destruction of Israel and the U.S.? My goodness what short term memories we have.
