Obama vows to ‘play offense’ against GOP-led Congress

Oh boo freaking hoo. "Republicans are persecuted! Everyone hates us!" Self fulfilling prophecy....

Every President in recent memory has expanded the power of the office over their predecessor, and when a Republican takes office in 2017 he'll do the same. And you'll be leading the excuse train.

Excellent "change" there, eh?

Please see my signature.

Seriously....LOL......it just shows how completely out of touch with reality you are. Try telling Americans that they weren't hurt by GWB driving us to the brink of economic bankruptcy.....wow.

This is so sad.

Seven years...seven long confrontational years down the road with NOT ONE sign of progress on the most pressing social issues in the country and all you can do is whine about a guy who has not signed a law in close to a decade.

Bush. Bush. Bush. Bush. Bush. Bush. Bush. Bush. Bush.

Where is the change in that? Hmm? Wasn't this dark and mysterious savior supposed to be different? wasn't there a "new deal atmosphere" according top MSNBC?

And please, no one needs to "try telling" Americans anything anymore, they spoke just a few months ago and you lost. as in having been outed as liars, fools and miscreants. The American people do not want you and your lame excuses of "Bush did it too", or even the still furious hate for...now please sit down, the two words can cause seizures in Obama stooges....hate for, Sarah Palin!

Fact, there is NO progress whatsoever on illegals.

Fact, the nation is more divided on political lines than ever.

In 2020 there will still be 50 million people without medical care, 2/3 more than live in Canada.

Fact, the nation is more divided on race than in four decades.

fact, the country is heading to $24 trillion in debt next year due to Obama spending.

THESE are the issues the American people want addressed, not more empty rhetoric about "they won't let me"......

Clearly, neither your nor the White House nor the DNC speak for the American people any more, so stop acting like you're even popular.

If anything happens during the next two years to cause the state economies to fail, the conservative that occupy the majority of state legeslatures will have no one else to blame but themselves.

I am sure that if anything happens in those Red states we will have people like you placing blame like you always do now. Learn to accept responsibility for the poor choices you have made including your votes for Obama and then move on. Doing the same thing over and over again will generate the same miserable results.

Red states like Kansas?

Red states like Kansas?

How has Kansas economy affected you and your family? That seems to be the problem with liberals they are experts on everyone else but not their own community and community politics.

Red states like Kansas?

From Forbes

I think it’s too early to tell if the Kansas experiment was a failure. It may be that the tax cuts have not been given enough time, because tax changes rarely have immediate consequences at the state level. I have often pointed out that tax increases almost never harm the economy in the short run. Neither businesses nor people move immediately after a tax increase. Corporations don’t sell their plants and equipment and move their workforce on short notice. And people don’t sell their houses, quit their country clubs, or take their kids out of school because the income tax rate goes up. I believe that increasing tax burdens harms economic development in the long run — it doesn’t happen overnight.

You sure do like to make moronic generalizations about liberals, dontcha?

They never deal with the actual topic....

The OP opens a discussion on president Obama's decision to go to war with congress. to address that, Obama's losers change the subject to one about Kansas and "red states."

Now, unless the state legislature of Kansas is at war with the governor and decades old problems are not being addressed, how in the name of deliberate obfuscation is this even ****ing relevant?

On the national scale, you betcha, because their idiotic social engineering affects ALL Americans.

Obama's decision to go to war with congress is no surprise if one remembers the fact that the congressional majority has been at war with Obama for about 7 years.

Obama vows to

So we have a Constitutional Scholar who doesn't understand that he isn't king? Congress makes the laws, not the executive Branch. Can you imagine the outrage if GW Bush took this attitude and was as arrogant as to not meet with Congress or to dictate to Congress? Just goes to show how poor of an executive he is and just how incompetent throwing a tantrum when he doesn't get his way. So much for negotiation

Oh, this is why I love American politics. The **** here is boring by comparison, there is so little drama...,

The American people went to the polls just two-and-a-half months ago and collectively rejected Obama's policies and actions. They looked at the on going blame game and sided with Republicans as the good guys, and Obama the one who is holding things up.

Instead of what would be obvious to a college student, Obama vows more war.

That doesn't happen anywhere else. Hell even the Italian and Greek parliaments figured out a way to work together....and in Canada, when a party gets rejected, they have the humility to stfu for awhile and get along.

But not Washington. While 41,600 Mexicans illegally flood into the US per month, Obama figures more fighting is best for the country. While he actively embraced and promised fast-tracking of the finalization of Keystone phase three, across some of the most endangered wet lands, he is now holding up phase 4 for environmental reasons...and on and on and on as the US citizenry wage their own, propaganda based war of words, the same positions being taken on the same topics over and over and over.

And, sadly, the progressives never alter from the White House meme, no matter how much it may do the 180 dance, while the right at least sees the problem, but sadly too often apply the wrong solutions.

Now, what happens when you erase the wrong solutions thingy, and compromise based on reality, not Obama's phantasy world. I guess that's what they call progress, something American "progressives" fear and loath......

It's like this massive and costly day time soap opera, where nothing is real except deception, nothing is reliable except dishonesty, and nothing ever moves into day two.

What country do you live in? Do you not get the news? Democrats were in control of Congress from 2007-2011 and the Senate from 2007-2014 so are you telling us Obama has been in war with his own party?

And republicans now have control of both house and senate, as well the majority of state legeslatures. So if anything fails, who should hold responsible.

That's the way it normally works except in your world where it was always someone else's fault but not the real world. What happens on the national scale affects us all, what happens in the states is the responsibility of those in that state. I live in TX and have been very happy with the economy here and Republicans have controlled the legislature and state house now for 20 years

That decision was made when? The clinging to "their guns and bibles comment or when he strutted into the Oval Office and declared the entire Republican congress "enemies".

All that happened even before Obama sent in the rational and sane Senator Reid and his "terrorists", "jihadists", and "traitors". And wasn't Obama's SIDE of the congress the ones who shelved a few hundred bills and claimed "obstruction", the same bunch of ignorant slobs who brought in the "nuclear option".

You see, Obamabots need to understand, a war starts when one side ATTACKS and Obama was the one to say "enemies": and promise to fight the Republican evil.......

But, you got seven years right.......seven years of zero progress.

Following the lead of a failed president, the post goes on the offensive, attacking the messenger, without, apparently even having read the message.

Sad? I doubt it. But you should be depressed as ****.

Seven years after having been elected on "hope and change" you have no hope and the only change there has been is a complete refusal to work with congress and listen to the message of the American people and get the ****ing country working again.

Instead, you poke fun at the OP, while ignoring the many disasters of this administration, and how hopeless is your president. Nothing is ever accomplished through confrontation, at best, even the civility of the courts delays real change by years or even decades.

You also ignore the will of the people, whose voice was clear to most professional political scientists, they want these age old problems fixed, they do not want petty, superficial, name calling feuds, they want answers.

Sad? No, perhaps borderline suicidal knowing those answers are not even going to be addressed.

Apparently you got the idea that I am a huge supporter of Obama. I didn't even vote to re-elect him, I know failure when I see it. And the last 2 Presidents we've had have been doozies.

Since you are the only perfect candidate that can get things done, why don't you run for Congress?

No support from the major parties is a crippling handicap. Though I was disappointed in the Independence Party's failure to even have a candidate.

That is why you instigate change from the bottom up, not the top down. No Third Party candidate is ever going to win on the National level until they build an organization from the top down. Third Party candidates don't have a chance so all supporters do is whine and complain.

There seems to be a few posters who think that any moronic post about Obama should just get a pass because he's so bad that even if something about him is untrue or stupid, Obama apparently deserves it.

In the political sense, sure. The parties have been in direct opposition for about 20 years.

I understand your point but when we start calling our opponents enemies, how much common ground or compromise do we actually expect to happen?

I don't agree with the stance that we are enemies. I believe we will continue to stifle any growth or recovery with continued or additional division.

the turd is going to go down in history as a major failure and he is trying to do something so he isn't ranked below Jimmy Carter

Wow. Sounds like he's salivating at the prospect of fighting with the GOP for the next 2 years. What a unifier he turned out to be.
