Obama vows to ‘play offense’ against GOP-led Congress

I know...Democrats are starting to sound like Republicans amirite?

In a weird kind of way, yeah, you are right....In that both parties tend to do the same things and now since the power is away from congress I am sure we will hear all about how the demo's are obstructionists from you....Oh wait, maybe not.

You sure are obsessed with this Gruber guy (maybe even more than your infatuation with GWB)...why is the opinion of some guy all of a sudden the definitive word for you?

Because he let the truth slip out...That makes him persona non grata in the demo party right?

You sure are obsessed with this Gruber guy (maybe even more than your infatuation with GWB)...why is the opinion of some guy all of a sudden the definitive word for you?

Because he was in Obama's inner circle and involved in ACA. He is conveying what the liberal elites actually believe and you are making him look like a genius

I think they get points for mentioning him at least once per thread. Doesn't matter what it's actually about, you get righttard cred just throwing in a gratuitous "Gruber."

Why are you so obsessed with him though and give his opinions so much weight? Why do you latch onto a one sentence talking point and then present it like it is the holy bible of politics? It seems like you are easily impressed? Am I correct?

Why? because he represents liberalism and was a leader in the Obama Administration. Where do you think he got the thought from? Why are you so obsessed with distorting the Bush record and believing 2008 was its entirety? Why are you ignoring the Obama results and still blaming Bush for the yearly deficits and massive unemployment/under employment?

Gruber doesn't "represent liberalism" any more than one person represents any idealogy. As far as the "Bush Record"....I distort nothing. I have always believed that the dismal results speak for themself. As does Obama's record. Bush will be judged by his record and Obama by his when he leaves office. The results speak for themselves. You are the one who constantly attempts to engage in calesthentics to twist and spin the facts. Let the facts speak for themselves....but I'm afraid you can't do that.

You realize he helped Mitt Romney with Romneycare in Massachusetts, right? Mitt Romney was your guy. Are you hoping he gets nominated again? :2razz:

No, absolutely not....We don't need any more progressives, right or left....

LOL, Mitt Romney is not a progressive, and neither is President Obama for that matter. Mitt Romney is a chameleon that changes color to blend in to his surroundings.

Let's compare the Bush Record with Obama's

Bush took office with a 10.3 trillion dollar GDP that in December 2008 it was 14.7 trillion or an increase of 4.4 trillion or 550 billion per year
Obama took office with a 14.4 trillion, pumped a trillion dollars into the economy and today it is 17.3 trillion or 500 billion per year with the stimulus

Bush took the debt from 5.7 trillion to 10.6 trillion or a 4.9 trillion dollars for 8 years or 600 billion per year and 1 trillion of that is 9/11
Obama took office with that 10.6 trillion and it is now 18.2 trillion or 7.6 trillion or 1.2 trillion per year

Bush had an average discouraged workers of 450 thousand per month, Obama's is 950,000 per month

Bush generated 9 million jobs from January, 2001 to December 2007 and ended up with 5 million thanks to the recession of 2008 with a Democrat Congress
Obama took office with an employment of 142 million and that is now 147 million up 5 million from taking office but 1 million from the recession's beginning.

I could go on with u-6 rates but it is a waste of time with you

I could talk about winning the war in Iraq and Obama losing the peace but it is a waste of time. Why don't you tell me what the Bush record is that didn't have Democrat foot prints on it??

You realize he helped Mitt Romney with Romneycare in Massachusetts, right? Mitt Romney was your guy. Are you hoping he gets nominated again? :2razz:

Yeah, I do but you don't seem to understand the difference between a state program and a Federal Program. Please figure it out and get back to me

LOL, Mitt Romney is not a progressive, and neither is President Obama for that matter. Mitt Romney is a chameleon that changes color to blend in to his surroundings.

Don't understand leadership do you? Romney worked with a Democrat Legislature in one of the most liberal states in the Country and generated incredible jobs growth and a budget surplus. His management and leadership experience is something Obama still doesn't have after 6 years in office and apparently something you don't understand

No business executive or anyone with any business, management, or leadership skills would ever be called a progressive. Being Progressive is being inflicted with a mediocre disease, seek help.

Yep....just as I suspected. You live in a world where 911 occurred on Clinton's watch, Clinton and the Democrats are responsible for the financial mess that occurred while GWB was in office and despite that, Bush overcame it all and led the country to economic Utopia, captured and killed Bin Laden and won the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Life must be nice living in such a constant state of denial. Keep spinning any more and your liable to explode. It is entertaining to watch though....

I think Con is actually backing Gruber.

I think it is quite telling how you continue to focus on 9/11 ignoring that Bush didn't do in 7 months what Clinton didn't do in 2 years but nothing is going to change your mind. Your BDS prevents you from addressing anything posted that proves you wrong. Keep buying the leftwing spin and ignoring the Obama results. How exactly did Obama turn the economy around and if his numbers are so great how did he lose the House in 2010 and the entire Congress in 2014. Maybe you aren't getting the news out on the left coast

You left out your messiah.

He's your messiah too. Your side has more crybabies than our side does, just read the threads in different forums, you'll see GOP leg humpers crying like children.

You ought to be sad that we have a so called Constitutional Scholar who doesn't understand the Constitution and making laws from the Executive office. Now answer the question what would happen if a Republican operated this way and governed by executive order?

What, did the Bush era not happen? Wait, I forgot, you were impaired by temporary blindness and deafness during those 8 years...

Frankly everyone gets all worked up about government overreach until it's their guy in there. Few, if any, Republicans cared when Reagan and Bush expanded the size and scope of executive powers and governmnt in general. But put a Democrat in office and suddenly he's Hitler reincarnated.

Progs today do like saving our National Parks from the GOP, one of nature's greatest enemies.

So you think the progressives today are like Teddy Roosevelt?

And I've yet to see a GOP Con as yourself defend or say good things about TR.
Such as agreeing with the 16th and 17th amendments .

Its all just empty rhetoric. Obama cant pass laws. His executive orders impact only the implementation of fed agencies. At the end of the day, congress still passes laws and congress still controls the budget.

I think you are forgetting just how mad repubs got when Bush said "he had to suspend free market principles to save the free market"...

Aw, yes, pick out the part you want to believe. I hope he does veto legislation like the Keystone Pipeline which the majority in this country support. I hope he vetoes all pro growth legislation and let's see just how far left this country is. I believe Gruber was absolutely correct in describing the Democrat electorate today.

That quote isn't even from the article that you posted. How dishonest do you have to be? That's pathetic.

I just destroyed you. I messed you up so bad you had to act like the article said something that it doesn't by going and finding another article elsewhere and copying it with out even so much as a link.

I win this thread....
