Obama vows to ‘play offense’ against GOP-led Congress

Merely pointing out the obvious that in 2 years Conservative will be the biggest excuse maker for whichever Republican likely wins the White House then. Be prepared. Also be prepared for the 2018 midterms to be a lot less kind to the GOP than 2014.

Well, if they keep coming out in favor of laying down to Obama's progressive agenda, then I would say you're probably right. Problem is that our politician's aren't listening to the people.

I am going to laugh my ass off when the GOP candidate in 2016 runs on "change."

If they are smart, the GOP will run on "a return to sanity."

But then, when has the GOP ever been smart?

Didn't you say nearly the same thing before the last election about Demo's keeping the Senate, and gaining the house? yeah, I'd say your prediction is about as useful as snot.

Nope - I said the opposite.

I suspect the GOP will take the senate 52 seats to 48. Then we find out if Obama has any cojones.

Would you like your crow deep fried or BBQ'd to go with that side of snot?

It's weird to me that you determine quality of life based on a few percentage points of taxes.

No, they're pretty much positioned themselves as the enemy of all the people of this country. That's why they keep pouring the middle and working classes' money into the rich, waste even more money and lives warmongering in the Middle East, destroying the social safety net, thwarting any attempts to embrace new technology in energy or transportation, trying to privatize control of the internet, and generally wreck any chance that young people have of not spending our whole lives in debt. They shut down the government once already in a refusal to pay the bills that they ran up. I wouldn't be surprised if they do it again.

And that's just the economic damage they're wreaking.

Ok so I was right. You are not only claiming the GOP is the enemy of the democrats, but also the entire country.

That's a pretty broad brush to stroke there. Every single thing you claim is bad about the GOP can also equally be said about the democrats. Including the wars in the middle east. As far as shutting down the government, I would say both sides are equally to blame for that happening.

Saying all that I do not look at the Democrats as being my enemy or an enemy of the country. Neither side seems to want to work together anymore. The dismal poll numbers for Congress certainly don't just come from the Democrat side.

Good day.

LOL....are you kidding me? That is how GWB ran his entire Presidency....or have you forgotten his "I got some political capital and I intend to spend it"

Correct. An he spent it trying to privatize Social Security, the public wasn't buying it.

I voted for him only three times, I couldn't vote for him a fourth time.

Please DO NOT tell him how we all vote at least twenty or thirty times in each election and that is the only way that a Democrat can win. We have to keep that a secret.

I was hoping for change......

Me too. My biggest disappointment and frustration with Obama is that he entered to office entirely too naive. He wanted to create a legacy of being a uniter and spent the first 3 years of his Presidency trying to appease and work with a party who made it clear from day 1 that their #1 Priority was to oppose everything that he did and try to make him a 1 term President. He should have gone on the offensive years ago. He had the backing of the American people to pursue and agenda of change in Washington and he failed to do so. A missed opportunity for sure.

I completely agree. Obama at heart is NOT a street fighting man. And that contributed significantly to his lack of success.

The thing I will never be able to figure out is his hiring of Rahm Emanuel and his reputation as a guy who would kick an opponent in the cojones and then spit on him for good measure to run the White House and then NOT let him do it according to his own dictates. It made no sense and was a big neon sign to everybody that Obama was not a fighter. And the GOP soon knew this was going to be easy.

Doesn't matter what they run on, they'll give us more of the same. More expansion of government, more Presidential power, more surveillance. Then they'll run on the same things again.

If Obama could pass an executive order to eliminate Congress altogether, he'd have it done by dinner.

And what exactly did he spend it on? Keep trying, Disney, to make the rest of the country the utopia known as Kalifornia with its massive debt and entitlement programs. The home of the true free lunch paid for by the taxpayers who remain stupid enough to live there.

Wow, how are things in that alternative world you live in. Did you see him belittle Paul Ryan and John McCain? ACA was created behind closed doors, the stimulus was a bailout of all his supporters. I cannot believe how naïve, gullible, and poorly informed you are. He had entire control of the Congress and told the Republicans, I won, you lost basically get over it. Now there is a compromising statement.

You have a very selective and leftwing memory.

Wow, in reading the libs talk to each other about how Obama was a disappointment to them because he didn't do this sort of thing from the jump so to speak is hilarious....I mean, you liberals must really believe that 'working together' means do everything liberals want.....Amazing.

Your hatred of GW Bush is based upon total ignorance and buying what the leftwing tells you. Start thinking with your brain instead of your heart. You cannot answer the question which says it all.

Proven wrong? LOL, keep ignoring the facts and posting the typical opinions that you want to believe. You continue to prove Gruber right, did he talk with you before making the statement?

You sure are obsessed with this Gruber guy (maybe even more than your infatuation with GWB)...why is the opinion of some guy all of a sudden the definitive word for you?
