So we have a Constitutional Scholar who doesn't understand that he isn't king? Congress makes the laws, not the executive Branch. Can you imagine the outrage if GW Bush took this attitude and was as arrogant as to not meet with Congress or to dictate to Congress? Just goes to show how poor of an executive he is and just how incompetent throwing a tantrum when he doesn't get his way. So much for negotiation

Wow. Didn't even take you a paragraph to get into CPC mode. I'm kind of impressed in a very sad way.

You ought to be sad that we have a so called Constitutional Scholar who doesn't understand the Constitution and making laws from the Executive office. Now answer the question what would happen if a Republican operated this way and governed by executive order?

How about go on offense against our actual enemies that are seeking to harm us and our allies?

If only the Chief Executive would address the growing threat of islamic terrorism with the same vigor and bravura as he displays when dealing with the GOP.

Problem is that Boehner, and McConnell are just as progressive as he is, and are afraid to act like an opposition....

Oh but he does....World apology tours, and Foreign aid given to Hamas....I'd say he is right on que with his loyalties....Problem is, that it is America he is loyal to, at least not as it exists today, or in the past. Shame right?

One potential explanation is that he doesn't necessarily view them as being 'enemies' to the extent that others do. See his support of Morsi in Egypt, and efforts to destabilize/topple secular states throughout middle east and north africa.

Oh boo freaking hoo. "Republicans are persecuted! Everyone hates us!" Self fulfilling prophecy....

Every President in recent memory has expanded the power of the office over their predecessor, and when a Republican takes office in 2017 he'll do the same. And you'll be leading the excuse train.

Bush did exactly that. His administration dictated to congress. They bullied the government and the country into following their disastrous neo-con agenda, which exacerbated the threat of terrorism, wrecked our economy, damaged our credibility with the rest of the world, and pushed into over a decade of war. And it was done by exploiting a national tragedy, and backed up by the propaganda organization that your link is from.

And you flip out over a few executive actions (which can only affect the operations of the executive branch or situations where congress has delegated powers to the president) and sports metaphor? How thin is your skin and how selective is your memory?

How about go on offense against our actual enemies that are seeking to harm us and our allies?

This is going on offense against our actual enemies.

Just so I am clear here, are you saying that the GOP is the enemy of the Democrats?

It is going to be very tough for Republicans to all of a sudden cry foul given how poorly the 112th and 113th Congresses went, especially how frequently Congressional Republicans took the same tone in dealing with Obama. Little to no negotiation, plenty of mic time hysterics, and the House trying some 50+ times to repeal ACA... as a showing of the same "tantrum" Republicans now accuse Obama of. Now that the 114th is Republican dominated, that does not remove how militant they acted over the past 4 years in the House (as majority) and in the Senate (as minority.) To be honest, it is no surprise that Obama has decided to end his Presidency by continuing to act like Republicans over the past 4 years. Neither are really right or even justified, but Republicans will add hypocrisy to the mix when claiming Obama is all in the wrong defending his political stances and Republicans get a pass for their own behavior now in mirror.

If anything what this really proves is the 114th will be as useless as the previous 112th and 113th Congresses. And so early into the 114th's session we have both sided firmly entrenched in opposition to each other... on everything. What did everyone expect, Obama to all of a sudden go for everything Republicans want?

No the Constitution is being persecuted by a leftwing incompetent bent on converting our economy into a European Socialist model. Cannot help but believe he is going to push the Congress into Impeachment to rally his ignorant base in support.

Bullied Congress? LOL, your opinion noted and based upon all the lies the left has told you. Socialism is a disease seek help. Not surprising you live in one of the highest taxed cities in the nation but that isn't good enough for you so you are trying to spread your socialist misery equally to everyone else. Bush didn't bully Congress, he got their support, support that Democrats now want to ignore as do you.

What Republican Congress? Keep trying to rewrite history, not going to work. How many House passed bills are sitting in Harry Reid's desk? Do you still believe every word Obama tells you? Was Gruber talking about you?

Not to mention all the tears republicans shed.

Glad to hear this. It is part of the strategy to allow the Republicans to demonstrate to the nation that their policies are to the right of most Americans and to show that Obama is standing in the way of right wing interests protecting the public. It will lead to a solid 2016 for Democrats.

The article, when it is referring to Obama "playing offense" they are referring to him threatening to veto legislation. Which is perfectly constitutional. Nothing that you typed in that rambling pile of crap you call a post is even remotely close to accurate.

President Obama told Senate Democrats in a private meeting that he plans to "play offense" against the new GOP-controlled Congress, showing little hesitation about clashing with Republicans for the next two years.

Congressional sources confirmed the comments, made Thursday during a summit in Baltimore, as Republican lawmakers held their own summit in Hershey, Pa.

The president, who already has issued a string of veto threats in the opening days of the 114th Congress, indicated he's prepared to keep opposing legislation he finds objectionable.

Didn't you hear? The veto pen is now called the executive order.

Did you actually read the post? The 112th and 113th Congress was split. House Republican, Senate Democratic.. and I said nothing that was a rewrite of history. The fact that there was House bills sitting on Reid's desk makes my point for me, they were very split with no intention of working with each other. House Republicans made that clear and so did Senate Democrats. The fact that you think no intention of working with each other was a one way street tells me far more about the hype you believe over what you think I do. Face the facts, Obama is doing now what Republicans have been doing for 4 years. Saying in advance there is no interest in working together. Does not make either side right, something else in my post that must have re-parted your hair as it flew over your head.

Aw, yes, pick out the part you want to believe. I hope he does veto legislation like the Keystone Pipeline which the majority in this country support. I hope he vetoes all pro growth legislation and let's see just how far left this country is. I believe Gruber was absolutely correct in describing the Democrat electorate today.

PRESIDENT OBAMA THROWS A WET BLANKET on hopes that he'll play ball with the new GOP-controlled Congress, telling Senate Democrats he'll 'play offense' against Republicans — including using new executive actions and vetoes to kill legislation he doesn't like, such as the Keystone pipeline bill and tougher Iran sanctions.

Oh....That's true....So, I guess then I should expect to be "liking" your future posts when a Repub gets in office in '16? Or is this just a way for you to say STFU and take it?

Yes, I heard that and you didn't answer the question, was Harry Reid an obstructionist by putting House Passed bills into his desk? Why weren't those house bills debated and the either passed or rejected? The fact is Harry Reid protected Obama and prevented the country from seeing just how leftwing he was. They are going to see that now.

Cooperation means debate, not obstruction and preventing debate. Executive action isn't showing cooperation but rather a King like action. This country wasn't built on Obamanomics and the American people are finally waking up to that reality.

What makes you think those House bills had something in them that Democrats wanted?

Didn't you say nearly the same thing before the last election about Demo's keeping the Senate, and gaining the house? yeah, I'd say your prediction is about as useful as snot.
