BTW, concerning the direction of this thread, it appears that some want it to be about me hating Dershowitz. I wonder why? Do they hate me?

Have you read The Trial? I'd say its portrayal of being caught up in the justice system, rightly or wrongly, is pretty accurate.

No I have not read it. But as black male, I agree, there are major problems with the justice system. Black folks have been saying that for years. It is interesting to note that Mr Dershowitz is saying the same thing, though possibly for different reasons.

You should read it. It's not tedious in the least and is thoroughly cutting.

Perhaps when I get a chance. I think Dershowitz has a point here in that mere allegations only can have such a negative impact on your life. That is messed up indeed if the allegations are not true. But that is the way it is. Just like it's messed up that I have been accused of hating Dershowitz, when I know for certain that is not true. That's life.

Dershowitz is an anti-gunner, but he hates Moveon.org, so its hard to know whether to hate him, or not.

Regardless of whether you hate him or not, I would say that Roberts lady must be nearly out of her mind if she has come forward like this and has simply manufactured a tale. And I know that the lawyers representing her, one who was a respected federal judge, surely know who the hell Dershowitz is. The very good Jewish lawyers have a reputation for being some of the best. Dershowitz is one of their finest. Very sharp intelligence. But this is the thing, he has power, and he is one of those people who destroy other people that cross him wrong. Even I know that. I used to look up to him until I saw him destroy another person. It was very, very, ugly. I don't hate him, but that's just the way he is. And that is not surprising because people with that type of power can be like that. Dershowitz has the power to destroy these people if that girl is not telling the truth. The point is this, SOMEONE WOULD HAVE TO BE A FOOL TO DO THIS AND NOT HAVE SUBSTANTIAL PROOF THAT THOSE ALLEGATIONS AGAINST ARE TRUE. People can try to sweep this under the rug but this is a big deal because there are many very powerful people involved.

I used to be a big Dershowitz fan. Why is it that you did not care for him?

I hope the truth prevails, whatever that is.
It doesn't matter if his name was Smith. He's had some pretty serious accusations leveled against him. The man is now decrying it to be a "drive by shooting" but after reading the testimonies and affidavits of those taken in Epstein's trial the man has no right to open his mouth. Because when he was part of the defense for Epstein he engaged in trying to discredit every under aged girl who had co-operated with the police (over 40 in total) and did his best to destroy/trash their reputations to discredit them. What goes around comes around. My grandmother use to say "What goes over the Devil's back, comes back round his belly."

He is the last person who should be talking about "loopholes" in the law after the sweet deal Epstein received with the mountain of evidence against him thanks to Dershowitz in part. To think that bastard (Epstein) only served less than 15 months in jail while allowed to leave the jail for a number of hours per day to attend to his business is unbelievable.

Yes, this time may justice be served.

He does destroy people. Of this there is no doubt. He has left behind him a bloody trail.

But let's see what happens. If he is indeed innocent, I honestly hope he is vindicated. But like I said before, someone would have to be out of their mind to do this, if they are not telling the truth. That would simply be suicidal.

The lawsuit against the government has been in the works with Doe #1 and #2 for sometime. It was brought about due to public outrage over the verdict. It wasn't till a newspaper in Palm Beach after over two years of litigation were able to get the sweet deal Epstein received unsealed that revealed things Epstein and his "friends" were hoping would never come to light. Doe's #3 and #4 have since requested to join the lawsuit. Before it gets to the courts there could be a #5, #6, #7. All giving evidence pertaining to different illegal activities. It is my understanding there are lots of pictures that were snapped of Epstein's "prestigious" guests with the under aged girls in their midst. It was revealed in the records from the Palm Beach Police department that hidden cameras were placed throughout Epstein's mansion at Palm Beach. His walls were covered with nude photos of under aged girls. Many of the same girls who gave sworn affidavits to the police of the activities that went on not only at the Palm Beach location but his, private island in the Caribbean, his ranch in New Mexico, his apartment in NY, his apartment in Paris, and on his private 757 that jetted his "friends" all over the world. So I don't think Doe #3 is being "suicidal" she is now the mother of three in her thirties and happily married. Her counsel is a former federal judge, prosecutor and law professor. I doubt very much he would be putting his name on the line like this unless he had undeniable evidence. Stay tuned......
