Like they did in late August. Russian contributions amounted to several Brigades. In addition, Russia supported the seperatists with large amounts artillery fire from Russian regular units whose presence in Russia kept them safe from counterbattery fire.

    The what was to your:
Instead, they seem to have gradually lost control of more territory in the area. As a result, I dont think they will be mounting offensives against entire cities anytime soon- unless the Russians send in entire Brigades again.

i.e who lost control of more territory in the area, DNR?

Despite an awful lot of material support and reinforcements (according to the Ukrainians, the reinforcements have included not just mercenaries and volunteers, but Russian regulars as well) they still have not taken it.

Ukraine LOST the airport last week, which is why the counter-offensive took place. The counter-offensive failed and DNR took all of Spartak.. DNR still holds the airport and that's putting pressure on Pisky. But whatever.. there was a "cease fire" for periods as well when no attacks were happening either. Just trading fire. Not pushing forward.

Road Networks, there is only one major road into Mariupol now as the H20 is now in Rebel hands in Donetsk. Also, Rail line going through Rizkova was blown, so no supplies coming by rail either.

Cryptic, you really need to stop reading propaganda. Kiev made claims it killed some DNR leadership the other day. Problem was the guy gave a presser in the evening. Kiev is having a lot of Baghdad Bob moments.

I should have said "gradually losing the initiative"

Folwoing the Russian intervention, the Ukainians rapidly lost alot of territory. Recently, however, the rebels have been forced to destroy infrastrucure in the vicinity of the airport (that highway bridge). My guess is that this was due to their loss of the initiative in the immediate area of the bridge.

Notice how units of Russian regulars are suddntly showing up again and that Russia is again hinting that furher Ukrainian military action threatens the statehood of all of Ukraine? The last time they did this was when the rebels were on the verge of defeat in late August.

The rebels have invested an awful lot of human and material recesources in the airport fighting. Material losses can be replaced easily. The seperatist pool of truly motivated units cannot be replaced easily. Once these units are gone, so will be the initiative, followed by terriroty. Any terriorial losses in Donessk will have a big impact. To avoid this, the Russians have started sending in complete regular units again.

I don't know where you get your information from, but I think you should change your source.

    * DNR pushed towards the New Terminal and took it at least for some time, and probably still hold the majority of it today - as evident from multiple video footage, and the fact that they can walk quite freely round the airport territory.
There were reports of Ukrainian soldiers holding on to a floor or a part of the new terminal, but they obviously don't control it.

    * There were several counter attacks launched by Ukrainian forces in an attempt to recapture the terminal and advance towards Donetsk, which resulted in multiple fights including a fight near the bridge that eventually was destroyed (according to Givi his own forces crashed it on two Ukrainian tanks that positioned themselves underneath it - yes we can see tanks underneath its remains)

    * All Ukrainian attacks so far either failed or had little success in achieving their goals, which in turn caused quite a few waves of distress among the Ukrainian ATO supporters (especially on social media) questioning the ATO command staff.

    * DNR is currently trying to push towards Peski near Donetsk, (so far unsuccessfully) and on some other fronts in Lugansk region capturing Ukrainian checkpoints - again both things are verified even by Ukrainian reporters.

    * DNR is also trying to push even further along the Mariupol direction

Care to share any evidence of these newly showed up regular units?

See above, your analysis and "guesses" are based on false premises and inaccurate/false info.

It was a shock to me that someone refers to Ukrainian source for "discovering fabricated facts". Thanks to Fallenangel, he's already explained your delusion for you, so no need to waste my time.

Anyway, there is Graham Phillips twitter where everybody can recieve information from the first hands but not from rather stupid Ukrainian propagandists.

Ukrainian POW causes Donbass militants' laugh.

They start laughing when the Ukr. soldier tells his commanders said the airport is under Ukraine's control, so he was sent to take wounded soldiers.
