A Navy captain on Thursday became the fourth and highest-ranking Navy official to plead guilty to federal charges in a still-widening bribery scandal involving a Malaysian shipping contractor.
Capt. Daniel Dusek, the former commander of an amphibious assault ship, pleaded guilty to bribery conspiracy for accepting free trips, meals and prostitutes from Leonard Glenn Francis, a Malaysian contractor known as “Fat Leonard” who has been charged with overbilling the Navy by more than $20 million.
