You create a straw argument (that there was an implied absolute) and conflate "votes" with influence!

So you really just "liberals are big dummy heads". Gotcha. I think I'll stick with the view that large donations to political campaigns serve economic self interest.

Wait, hold on: are you suggesting that internet providers didn't lobby their state congresses to ban competing isps?

I don't think either party is actually a stooge for big business. Mostly that's just small minded little partisan hacks demonizing the other party. The beauty of going through life clinging to the pseudo conspiracy-theory that the rich control everyone's lives is awesome for people that don't have the intellectual courage to acknowledge that their life is actually the sum of their decisions and actions. Much better to blame all our personal failures and shortcoming on a system where the rich hold everyone else back, control all the laws of the country and keep poor, helpless, people like yourself from being the superstars you know you would be if only the deck wasn't so stacked against you.

Losers need excuses for their failures and that has to be one of the most coveted loser excuses of all time in this country. "The rich man be keepin' me down". Seems to be the sweetheart excuse for every left wing pinko that isn't a limousine liberal.

Not only do they do that, it's factual within this thread itself. It's why this thread and Obama's proposal exists. See posts 165 and 166.

Lobbying for legislation isn't the same as buying legislation. How can pretend you don't know that? Or do you really NOT know that? I suppose it's possible that you could be that clueless, but surely, it was just an act on your part, right?

The only part I like and think is hilarious about your post is the libs reference.

These comments like yours are just stupid. I stated:

"Satellite broadband is extremely asynchronous and latency is very high. The only time its a good option is when there are simply no other options at all available."

Do you honestly think from that I mean't satellite broadband is worse than dial-up??

Perhaps the "broadband" in the statement would be indicative of me referring to other types of broadband access (DSL, Cable, Fiber, 4G/LTE).

Seriously. I wish you the best and hope you win the powerball. You'll be disappointed when you find out that all the crap you spewed all along about "buying laws" as you please was complete sewage, but that's a small thing compared to having a lot of money to piss away and I have no doubt you would piss away a fortune if you won a fortune. It's amazing how many people who win millions end up dead broke again very quickly. Seems that people who aren't sharp enough to make their own fortune are likely not sharp enough to keep a fortune that falls into their lap, either. Fools and their money are soon parted.

I have to admit, you are one funny person, very entertaining to read.

Speaking of buying laws, isn't that basically why lobbyists flock to DC and state capitals, to influence powerful legislators into pet projects and other wasteful stuff?

I suppose if one is a conservative, he or she might see lobbyists as just good old pals with a lot of money to toss.

I think if I had a lot of money or were wealthy, I'd start up a dog farm or ranch, and provide care, shelter and feeding of abandoned dogs.
