Of course my musical snobbery would suggest the affirmative on both accounts (and I am holding strong on that viewpoint), him having problems with young girls listening to Beyonce is akin to him having problems with Madonna and Michael Jackson in the 1980s or Sheryl Crow or Christina Aguilera in the late 1990s. It's so ubiquitous and expected in popular culture and radio that you would have to stare at Mike with sarcastic eyes like "who in the hell would you expect these kids listen to? Lawrence Welk"?

Of course the choreography is trashy and highly sexualized. And yes, it's just really bad music. That being said, Mike can't claim some sort of superiority when most American parents (who are also voters) do exactly the same thing as the Obamas.

I think he is jealous the media is giving Mitt and Jeb all the attention.

He looks like an out-of-line asshole with these comments. He isn't attacking the children directly, but he is attacking the president's parenting style and it's unjustified. There is much worse music they could be listening to. He shouldn't be taking hits at the president like this if he is preparing to run for president.

Also, I don't see see where he gets off calling Jay Z, Beyonce's pimp. I guess he could be talking about how skimpy she is dressing, but again, his remarks are highly distasteful and inflammatory. If he wants to complain about her skimpy outfits, he can do so without calling her a hooker and her husband her pimp. Beyonce is a self made woman. She was successful before she married Jay Z, and if she wants to dress in little clothes then that's her decision. All I have to say to Mike is good luck getting women to vote for you if you keep talking like this...

Most of her songs are just fine for kids. A couple of them, like Partition, are intended for more mature audiences, though.
 
Well guys I just gotta say , music with strong lyrics may ruin children's innocence- by giving them adult themes and ideas. I thought the idea was was to protect your children from the dirt as long as possible....

He is selling her sexuality. I can get the connection there. I just think Huckabee is wrong to choose to comment negatively about another politicians' parenting style when, to all available evidence, the Obama's have actually done a pretty good job protecting their daughters.

OH so he likes songs written and preformed by male songwriters and performers then.. hmm.. so he is nothing but a chauvinistic pig then? Then again he is part of the American Taliban, so it should not be a surprise. Maybe his issues with Beyonce is that she is a woman and is showing her body, when he expects women to be barefoot, pregnant and covered up when outside the home..

Since playing the race card has failed you, then why not try dealing the next card off the bottom of your stacked deck? - the war on women card. I fully understand your anti-religious conservative stance on the issues, as I too have political differences with him, but Huckabee is far from the most conservative US politician. You seem quite willing to judge folks based on your perception of their musical tastes but then attempt to slam Huckabee for doing the same.

Listen.. Huckabee is a power hungry demagog.. why? First of all he was/is a minister... an age old power base in societies. Priests were more important than any elected official and only the king/queen were more important.. well sometimes at least.

Now this priest, not satisfied in bringing down judgement and ordering people about in his flock, he has now turned to the only thing that could give him more power... running for the top political office of the land.. and biggest power base on the planet.

And back to "the war on women" and Huckabee. Is he suddenly for abortion? How his attitude towards divorce and the family? yea thought so...

I don't like Beyonce, and I'm not a fan of Obama, but really? This is what Huckabee has to complain about? This is the best he can do?
 
If listening to Beyonce is the worst thing the Obama girls ever do, President Obama is a lucky father. Huck just has to find some way to get attention now that he doesn't have his own show. This is that way.

You forget Huckabee was the third longest serving governor of Arkansas and widely considered one of the best ever (best in 50 years according to the statewide newspaper).

You also forget that Huckabee very frequently had liberals he disagreed politically with on his show and he was so polite and cordial that virtually all of them considered appearing with him there a pleasant experience. One they often repeated.

Imagine if Arkansas would have had the ridiculous one-term term limit for governor as Virginia currently does, though the last one is going to jail. Two terms has seemed to work in neighboring Indiana with Pence following Daniels but I'm uncomfortable with a tool that only comes from the GOP .

OBAMA listens to Beyonce - and Huckabee seems unsure of why they'd let their kids listen to it? THEY listen to it.

So maybe he should stop trying to argue through Obama's children and just get straight to the point: he doesn't approve of the President on a moral or ethical level.

Typical conservative VS liberal ****.
