From what I recall, 300 K votes in certain electoral districts was the difference between a win and a loss.
What do you think of his run? As the article states he is gearing up for a run.
Who would be his VP?
While he may not win the Republican Presidential nomination with his base of support could end up as the VP for whoever does.

Jeb Bush will be the next Republican nominee for President and the next President of the United States.

All this talk of Romney wanting to get back into the race over the past month or so has got me thinking, however, that a Bush/Romney ticket on the Republican side would be a very powerful one, one that the Democrats would be hard pressed to even come close to.

Murphy's law applies to everyone. Why would any misfortune Jeb may encounter be more critical than that of others?

P.S. = that's my last comment on Jeb Bush so I don't get accused of hijacking the thread.

because it would be interesting to see your potential reaction to Jeb bush dropping out of contention because something like rick perry's oops moment or Romany's comment about the 47% made him unpalatable to voters

I doubt that will happen with Jeb Bush. After all, if what I believe to be true is true, Jeb has the best temperament, demeanor, experience, and background so he's the least likely to make one of those stupid moves. Perry was totally unprepared and lazy, thus his goof and Romney's wasn't a goof, it was the truth that the media exploited to save Obama.

But we'll see. I think the media will like the story of another Bush so they won't try to destroy it - a Bush/Clinton campaign is a ratings goldmine for them. And nobody in the media likes Hillary Clinton, so Bush won't suffer from a media sabotage.

Wait. After the 2012 campaign, he's regathering the same people????? LOLOLOL. That was one of the worst campaigns in recent memory.

Romney's 47% comment wasn't a goof? It was a disaster. To Romney, all who are not net taxpayers are completely dependent on the government, which is ludicrously false.

Oh wait.....first would we need to see if that is the proper thing to do. Do you think any candidate that is going to run for the Presidency needs to have his people who supported them and can help him in different states with campaign appearances and debate. Would need to be contacted so the candidate knows what party members from different states will be there to support him? Set up a National Apparatus huh....yeah like thats not what a Presidential Candidate would do, huh? :lol:

I'm actually surprised by this, but then again, I'm not. That probably doesn't make sense....

I think the reaction here in New Hampshire will be very telling. I also know a lot of people here who didn't vote for him in the general election who regret that decision deeply and I wonder if they would vote for him this time around.

Romney lost Florida by 74,000 vote, 29 EV. Ohio by 166,000, 18 EV and Virginia by 145,000 votes, 13 EV. These three states were the only ones he lost by less than 5 percent of the vote. Romney also won North Carolina by 92,000 votes, 15 EV. Even if Romney kept North Carolina and added the other three, his electoral vote total would stand at 266, still 4 shy of winning. Obama won Florida by 0.88%, Ohio by 2.98% and Virginia by 3.87% of the vote. Romney won North Carolina by 2.04%.

Other not so close races were which Romney won Nebraska 2nd congressional, Georgia, Arizona and Missouri:

Pennsylvania, 5.39%
New Hampshire, 5.58%
Iowa, 5.81%
Nevada, 6.68%
Wisconsin, 6.94%

A Hillary vs. Romney matchup would probably mean that I end up voting for a third party candidate for the 6th time out of the last 7 presidential elections. Although Hillary would get more thought for my vote than Romney which I do not trust. Any candidate who changes his lifetime held political beliefs just to run for president can’t be trusted. He is also the father of Romneycare which begat Obamacare.

I would disagree as other political insiders do. BO didn't really beat Romney.....Romney lost it. That was despite being Right on a couple of things.

Romney's campaign was an unmitigated disaster. His top people actually believed the "skewed polls" nonsense and ran almost ZERO ground game in the days leading up to the election because they were convinced it was in the bag.
 
Bring him on. Hopefully he and Jeb can split votes and donor money and doom both of them
